Get ready for a huge loving rant
My school, I hang out with these group of beta forgetfriends and all they ever do is talk about masterbation and stuff so yesterday, they were arguing about the ps4 and xbox one and saying what one was better, they were all coming up with handicap excuses as in, "ps4 has better pixels" or some stuff and then they were claiming that the ps3 was better then the xbox 360 because they said that the xbox 360 only had 360 "Pixels" it really goes to show what market they are going after, idiots. I told them I don't play either and I play PC and they all shunned me and called me a friend for it because they thought that PC is inferior or some bullstuff excuse they always come up with to convince themselves that they are correct or something. They were also arguing that xbox one you could browse facebook or whatever they do, and I told them I don't want a 500 dollar social network in a box and they all continued talking without me. once again, it really shows how cancerous the console community is.
They asked me what games I play, I replied blockland and they all thought I was one of those manchildren because I don't play first person shooters
Please don't take that as an example of every person who plays or owns a game console.
Most aren't like that.
You are taking a group of 15~ year olds from your school to make the decision.
They're 15 and all they know of games consoles is you plug it in to a monitor, stick a CD in and start playing a game.
Don't expect them to know anything about the quality of parts or how exactly the machines work.
They're simply choosing a side and sticking with it.
That's what people do all the time. For example, those few people who will come onto these forums and go on about how Roblox is worse than Blockland or vice versa, without any real acknowledgment of why one might be better than the other.
It's also the same when you have people who blindly choose and side with Macintosh computers over Windows, or Windows over Macintosh.
I know plenty of people who will swear blindly that Macs are better than PCs, yet don't know the first thing about how a PC works. They simply choose the side of the thing they know, and they only know it because they own it.
And when it comes down to it, at your age and mine, a lot of people had their parents buy their stuff.
And chances are, they probably bought it because it had the fanciest adverts, or it was the cheapest, or they know others with them.
It's not that the products are aimed at idiots, but rather that they're aimed at everybody to use without experience.
I don't need to be a whiz-kid to know how to use a PC or a Mac, nor to use an Xbox or PlayStation or Wii, or play Battlefield or Call of Duty.
And since I don't need to know lots about them, it's fine to make an uninformed decision between them.
Ignore petty rivalry between people, especially on the school playground. It's simply butting heads and ego-playing. You're the alien in that you've got another view not shared by them and are more informed. Don't take what they say personally, and don't let a few people put you off of the actual products.
I'm sure that both PS4, Xbox One and Wii U are all lots of fun, great to use, and nice to share.
The products are good. But playground attitudes and fandom rivalry can put a bad name on them, if you let them.
