I check my watch. It's about an hour before the psychologist appointment. I decide to try to clean myself up, and get something to eat. Unfortunately, this takes more time than I had planned, because I barely knew where these places were.

I end up going to the appointment on an empty stomach. The wait wasn't long, but they ended up putting me through a battery of psychological tests. They then take me to a counselor to help me overcome what had happened. The appointment lasts another hour. As soon is I step out of the counselor's "room", an airmen hands me the test results. I am unfit to fly at this current time, unless is have the signatures of the CO of XO.

I walk out of the doctors office angry because I'm not allowed to fly without Estaloo's and the Major's signature, and it would be a week before I could be re-evaluated. Hungry, I go to the mess and get something to eat.

I'm in the mess hall grabbing some of whatever food they have now.

I grab some pizza and sit next to Jacov.

"Well... I'm borderline unfit to fly, so I can't do anything without the signatures of our highers,"

"Damn. I kinda expected that. I mean, your brother... yeah. I can't wait until you can fly though. Also, did you hear? Danna's being court martialled and Marko and I are being required to attend." (watcher and miko please just go with it)

I wonder what Swat 3 will do now.

Danna will try her best to prove that she is the 3rd best ATG "pilot" but technically the best ATG navigator/thingy.

Also, she will make a sob story about Haythem and how they met and how he made her stop her drinking problem.

Of course a low chance Danna will be saved.

Eh.

what was the promise she made to haythem when they joined the academy tho

I get a quick coffee from the cafeteria and head outside to watch the early morning sorties takeoff. The weather is still overcast, no rain though.

All was quiet at the airfield except for the typical sounds of the base. Crews had planes out on the tarmac, repairing damages, rearming and refitting them. Supply trucks were unloading MREs near the terminal. The trees around the airfield were shrouded by the overcast sky. Anyone in the vicinity of the base would hear the screeching of a jet engine as two unmarked F-35s streak low over the airfield, and release two bombs each onto the tarmac. Small arms fire erupts from the trees around the base and light armor rolls from the forests, firing upon the airfield. The alarm sounds nearly immediately and Cartelian Security Forces vehicles roll out of buildings, setting up a perimeter. MANPADs are brought out and fire crews are sent to the tarmac to extinguish the planes.

Meanwhile in the 86th's barracks, the flight's pilots are summoned to the briefing room at "top priority."

I drop the coffee mug and it explodes all over the ground as the sirens start going off. Before going to the briefing room, I run and grab my flight gear.

I'm the first one in.

I'm stirred from my waking reverie as sirens are set off throughout the terminal. Major Ybarra's voice comes over the loudspeaker. I quickly throw aside the bed sheets, don my flight gear and run to the briefing area. god dammit i really need to just get on with it and post

Haythem is not dying, I expect for him to come back/never come back.

If you review the posts, I never really regarded brain damage until everyone started jumping on it and making their own story as to why Haythem got hurt.

I exit a taxi right before two bombs are dropped on the runway. I curse, now feeling much more sober, and run to the briefing room knowing that pilots would be called there.

This is my instinct/reaction and I just noticed I won't may not be welcomed there when I enter the doorway, but I put that aside because regardless they need whatever they need in quantity.
