damn straight right
wow so you avoid the word straight at all costs then huh

I wish I had something I was allowed to be proud about.
:c
personally i think being proud of something you can't control is bullstuff. and the kind of gay pride parades that make lgbt+ people look hyperloveual are just damaging the cause.

They're being proud of it because society constantly pushes them down, that it's something abnormal and sick and that you shouldn't be whatever you are. They're pushing for legal and social equality.

No point in being proud over a loveuality. Be proud that you're standing up for yourself.

...That's kind of what the point is

Than why do people say "I'm proud to be gay!" rather than "I'm proud of myself for standing up against the people who are trying to put me down"

Than why do people say "I'm proud to be gay!" rather than "I'm proud of myself for standing up against the people who are trying to put me down"
If you have no pride in the thing you're fighting for then what's the point

I think you're interpreting it wrong. Most gay pride things are for rights, not to strut around and tell everyone they're gay

Because for some folks, it's more about being able to accept yourself for who you are over being accepted by others for who you are :v

I know what its about, but some people use it as a way to strut around pulling the family man card when they don't get their way
