Didn't know if that was still your style or not. I remember your laser pack had quite a few elongated odd looking weapons, which is what I based my argument on.

Make a better download for TSG.
Because of the setup i can't download it. :c

Just curious, takato. I see you're using Sketchup - how well does exporting to Blender work for you, and what method do you use?

SketchUp does numerous things that either cause issues with editing in Blender or in the resulting .DTS. Fortunately, all of them are predictable and relatively easy to fix.

--Applies a blank U/V texture to every object (causes weird Z-fighting on colored faces in-game)
--Exports everything as double-sided (performance loss in-game)
--Exports every different material as a seperate object (annoying for editing)
--Exports every face separately (duplicate verticies and edges)
--Messes up the object's scale value (causes very contrasted lighting in-game (it's worth noting that this one hasn't happened in a LONG time))

Use the .3DS exporter. With .OBJ, you'll get a lot of n-gons and nonmanifold geometry unless you manually draw in all the triangulation before exporting. It also causes the U/V texture issue to become irreparable since everything is exported as one object.

I'm still on SketchUp 7, so some of these issues may or may not be fixed, and other issues may be present.

Hope this helps.

The hell is a TSG, do you mean the sword pack?

Thanks. I normally just use Blender, but it might be fun to pull out ol' SketchUp and model something with it again. However, since you're saying to use the .3DS exporter, I'm assuming you have the Pro version of SketchUp?

That I do.

Yes.
I'm working on splitting the sword pack too, but it's taking longer because it was actually a single Add-On.

Just stick Weapon_TSP.zip in your add-ons folder and you're set for now. If you want to wait for me to split it, I plan on finishing it tonight, so check back later.

I'm loving this so much right now, you have no idea <3

Guess you could say that model really shines!

Sorry about the contrast on the 3D view, the materials are kinda forgeted up...

lots of bullstuff going on, having trouble getting it to look right, will probably end up reverting to the previous version and building off of that instead
