Do people actually want a building game?
Next step is adding an accounts system and making lights and emitters server-side.
If people really want building I could add it at least as a temporary mechanic.

This looks really cool.
I'll try it when I get home.

Bumping due to new poll

Added sand and blender sand+grass terrain types:

One last thing before I make accounts and building and that's to make the water look nicer. I already got a texture for it but I'm working on a wave shader as well so it doesn't look so still.

Also got a friend who will hopefully make a login screen for me.

I would love to see building; absolutely.

The game engine is very excited about everything! Everything ends in an exclamation mark! I wonder if the entire game will show the same level of enthusiasm! I sure hope so, it might make for interesting gameplay!

8 to 2 for building.
Not bad.

Basically you will be able to create accountssoon. If you login as a guest it'll be just like it is now, you can see stuff, chat, move around. But if you're logged in you can build and your builds, last position, time played, items (when added) will be saved.

You'll have a quick bar with a few types of blocks, hopefully you'll be able to choose an x y and z size as well as a texture. This is in contrast to blockland where there are set datablocks. Bricks will be placed on a grid and can't overlap, like on blockland. They will be able to float for now though,I don't feel like having to make bricks detect terrain and bricks.

Updated the water, you can see the new water here:

It's kinda animated now, too.

Also made the cursor hidden by default.
Going into freemouse mode (default key: m) still shows it, however.

Looks very nice.
What are the minimum requirements to play it?

Starts, a window flickers and then closes. But the game still runs in the background. I closed it with taskmanager. Attached are the logs and the settings file.

How can you host a server?

It seems that you couldn't even load the OpenGL.
What graphics card do you have?
