a lot less laggy but that might be because I turned the res down

Every time I want to play se I remind myself its laggy af and not play it.
DId they fix it already?

sadly, as soon as I went up my missile thing shot it down and the game quicksaved while it was doing that

I built a new one

and got into "orbit" (escaped the planets gravity basically)

this game has been collecting dust in my steam library, i'm going to try it again

'Ey fellas, this game seems to be having issues running on my pc

Specs: http://www.pcworld.com/product/1253612/aspire-m-touch-model-m5-583p-6428-.html

I've done everything I could do to try to make the game load/run easier, and it locks my laptop everytime.

Any advice, or do I need a new computer?

Get a desktop
Run at lower res and try to put the view stuff or something to 5km

No, like.
It won't load a world.
At all.

I've been trying to help him mangle the game into working for two days now. When he launches, he can get to the menus, but when he tries to load a world (singleplayer, multiplayer) the game freezes and locks his computer up.

planets are very graphics card heavy, like I had the same issue you're having by trying to run it on a single gpu and it didn't work well, and that wasn't even integrated like this is

I saw a solution to this somewhere and I forgot where I found it. Hold on...

Have you tried running it in Compatibility Mode?

This

set it to compatibility with Windows 8 and have it run in DX11.
