Stormlands sends a force of 7000 to attack the hostile tribes after the survivors returned
The combined army in Stormlands to match divides their forces into two companies, and ambushes them, taking up positions at opposing hills as the Stormlandic army passes through.  Another force of 200 arrives by sea, battered by the waves, and reduced due to the Stormlandic naval interception.  They mount an invasion from the west to come to the existing army's aid.

The fighting comes out to be a draw, with less than 100 of each force remaining.  The force retreats, and wishes to negotiate a ceasefire or peace treaty.

We go to war with our best men against the tribes.
They succeed easily, taking minimal losses.

Our attitude has changed from welcoming to cautious at this point.

No, sorry that was unclear.  You won and took minimal losses.  They were wiped out.

Oh, alright.

We take their land from them and set up trading posts in anticipation of other nations.

Map edit coming tomorrow.

The Stormlands arrives at the area of the burned forts, seeing the bodies of fellow soldiers, the troops want blood.
The Troops attack the hostile tribes, slaughtering them but with 1,243 casualties. Nobody in the tribes lives

The Stormlands population has grown from 130,000 to 140,000.
We sends workers to retrieve the bodies and build new settlements

The tribes population is over 80,000 in Scotland with 50% of troops still remaining.  In Ireland, 130,000 with 70% of troops remaining.  On the contrary, an attack would be very costly on your part.
Seeing that Stormlands will not leave their homelands, all able-bodied men over the age of 14 are recruited to defend.  Armies mobilize to attack, Scotland count 25,000, Ireland count 65,000.

that's not really
plausible in this age

they have 90,000 and they are tribes

they have 90,000 and they are tribes
They would be kingdoms, but they're still clans.

50,000 is realistic if he drafts them.

first off, the modern concept of drafting that we have didn't arrive until the french revolution

secondly, he can have 50k troops but i can't have 30k stationary troops?

He can't mobilize all his troops in one army, certainly.

Just for realism, let's divide the numbers in this conflict by 10.  I think I went overboard.
