I hear 300,000 km is the max speed an object can travel. I also hear that light is the fastest thing out there, or so my science teachers have told me. I also understand that objects have their own gravity which acts upon objects near it. However to pull something you need a great enough mass. Also you need enough force, momentum, and speed to pull an object in. If this isn't the case, then do you except a vacuum cleaner to pull a freight train a snail to pull a pick up truck with a string.
I have also been told by teachers that light is a form of radiation and that these black holes emit radiation. So if I getting at anything, it is that these black holes are actually some type of light within the spectrum that is capable of trapping in particles of any type.
I'm sorry, I came here for a discussion. If I am wrong please enlighten me instead of using your knowledge to make your self feel superior over everyone else.
I'd like to point out some things that, while correct, do not necessarily apply to this.
The exact speed of light is 299,792,458 meters per second. That's an exact figure, as the meter itself is defined in terms of the speed of light. No object can travel faster than light because you would need an infinite amount of energy.
However the thing is, the ship wouldn't be travelling at the speed of light. It would actually be travelling at a much lower speed, or technically not at all.
Think of the space around the ship as filled with air. Then the ship creates a high pressure zone in the air behind it and a low pressure zone in front of it. This will cause the air to "push" the ship away from the high pressure, and also "pull" it towards the low pressure. Why this technically means the ship isn't moving I have no idea, but apparently that's the case.
No form of radiation can go into the black hole and escape. However for whatever reason apparently the immense gravity right at the event horizon (the point of no return so to speak)
causes radiation to just come into being. Again I'm not sure why, I'm no Stephen Hawking. The particles can escape the gravity of the black hole because it hasn't yet entered the event horizon. I have no idea what you mean by "these black holes are actually some type of light within the spectrum that is capable of trapping in particles of any type" so I'm not sure what to say about that
