compared to a lot of the stuff people have done or have said they want to do, calling the police about someone's pet is pretty tame

it doesn't even have anything to do with this specific forum. every internet community is going to have someone who would be willing to do that. calling the police requires almost no effort, and neither does googling "dog bite"
all it would take is someone with a less stable personality than average, and a dislike for someone whose pet is such a big part of their online identity
