Pentium G3258 which just came out, its unlocked so if you were to get a Z97 board you'd be able to overclock it and get similar "performance" to an i5 gaming wise. Of course, don't you dare expect this thing to be a workstation CPU like the i5/i7 series. It will stink trying to render anything, but if gaming is all you do, this little beast is not that bad, especially for $80.

i dont have 1150 socket type.

i dont have 1150 socket type.

The total cost of getting a new mobo + G3258 is still cheaper than an individual i5 depending on the mobo you buy. Besides, you can upgrade the 1150 socket easily later on.

Even the cheapest i5 current gen CPU is around $185 or more, which a G3258 + MSI Z97 PC Mate is around $170, plus you DONT have to pay for the mobo if you had gotten an i5.

why would i get a whole new mobo and that when my cpu is almost the same as that thing.

It's not the same, its unlocked and can be pushed hard to become a really powerful CPU, plus by getting a new mobo you leave yourself room for easier and newer upgradability. Plus, the E6700 is on an outdated socket. Its actually really inefficient to keep getting 'better' CPUs for an old socket because of the price for performance and they use a lot more power.

Plus by upgrading the Mobo you get access to a lot of feaures like UEFI BIOS (fancy schmancy graphic BIOS) better power thermal designs and especially newer RAM and PCI technologies like DDR3 and PCI 3.0 (even though DDR4 is around the corner).
