Avalonian ships continue to travel both East and West.  A convoy reaches as far as Aspidis, and another reaches where the coastline to the East starts to trend north.  The vast array of goods moving through Avalonia brings in plenty of revenue and knowledge.  The initial building of the Avalonian library is expanded as it becomes clear that it will soon be full, and the growth of the population of Nazgar prompts the construction of another layer of fortifications outside the city to protect the people who will likely leave the more crowded areas - existing walls and towers, including the citadel of Nazgar, are made taller so that the walls become ever more daunting the farther in you go.  Similar expansion is happening of Avalonia's island trading post.

Finding the soil and climate of Avalonia bad for growing many of the crops, especially fruits, that Avalonian traders have acquired, a stretch of land on the continental side of the strait connecting the Sea of Atensia with the Southern Ocean is settled to farm these crops.  Local peoples are happy to lease the land out for a portion of the produce, but many Avalonians petition them to allow the construction of fortifications as a precautionary measure.  The natives respond by ensuring the Avalonian farmers that they can handle any threats and will pose none, and do a little extra training of their army.  The Avalonians are wary, but continue with their ventures.

Atenisia expands it's "oceanic-jurisdiction" from the Sea of Atenisia to the Southern Ocean. This is unrelated to the expanse of Avalonia, however. Atenisia views Avalonia in good light and maintains open-borders with them. They do, however, wish to install a Legion Post on the stretch of land in order to monitor what goes through the strait.

The consuls, His Honorable, and the Assembly all decide by majority, in order to gain absolute friendship between Atenisia and Avalonia, they are only allowing people with property to vote to better the views of the Avalonian citizens and political leaders upon Atenisia. This is also beneficial, too, because most laws that are passed may have to do with those who indeed own some of the lands of Atenisia anyways. Those who do not own any property may view the Assembly take place, but not participate in it. Servants and indentured workers don't even come to the Assembly anyway.

A magnificently crafted statue is sent to Avalonia. A bunch of scribes and scholars are sent to Aspidis so they can get some translation going between Atenisia.

The Order of the Golden Lion sees this as increasing the honor of Atensia's way of rule (although it maintains that those without property may be honorable and those with it may be dishonorable), and the High Priest in Avalonia declares that the Gods view both Atensia and interaction with it more favorably now.  Cultural exchanges pick up again.

The land there isn't Avalonia's, but Avalonians are leasing it and the people who own it would resist such action and Avalonian interests would be jeopardized in any ensuing conflict.  Best to build your outpost on the other side of the strait.

Why lease it when you can, *flexes military power*, kick their ass out of their homes?

>:)

Atenisia agrees. Super loophole ensues, and we just patrol around the strait instead of wasting resources and time making a post.

Atenisia is of happy that political and spiritual figures approve. People who don't own property don't give a stuff and continue working for their tenants/something. Atenisia wishes to host a grand feast at their capital, inviting the major political figures of Avalonia.

Fight, fight, fight, fight.

The Hloahamarr's namesake, King Eilaf Hamar I is dead. Following his death of old age, the fighting stops and the Jarls elect the Regent to the Throne, Asvaldr Bergson. After a period of grieving and rebuilding, a new King will be installed and the tribe will once again be whole.

Calzone welcomes Avalonia to our great nation in hopes of being future partners in trade.

Calzone welcomes Avalonia to our great nation in hopes of being future partners in trade.
Hey, Calzone, wanna be our trade partners?

Avalonia and I are coolio.

Avalonia is glad that Calzone will be open for trade and does the usual trading stuff with them.

Erinaum begins to build roads to Zēnian cities.

A pact is offered to permanently unite the two nations as one.

Refugees with yellow skin come from a far away place on a trader's ship. He says that "he can't keep them anymore. He found them in an old fishing boat with only a stick on a refueling island."

The language barrier is awful, however the peoples are cared for. Avalonia is requested to assist in understanding the tattered refugees and their stories.

Also, Oasis, could you send me where you wanted to be on the map again?
