Author Topic: Games you hate thread  (Read 12255 times)

what the forget m8
I really tried my best to play these games but it's just really boring and bland. All I did was walk around and do boring chores and talk to people for like 3 hours and then I got really bored and stopped.

let's see...

half-life: before (its a mod tho, so idk if it counts as a game)
the legend of zelda: majora's mask (its great to mess around in but its just so weird to actually play through the storyline)
sims games on game systems (especially sims 3, was stuff in the wii)
most mario party games
most mario sport games
moonbase alpha (though it makes for some great videos)

HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY! Third Degree.
dammit that was the other weapon I was trying to think of

thanks

Every single game from Ubi- I mean stufftysoft.

Stuff I majorly disagree with that has been said in this thread:
HL2: EP1 (srs?)
GTA 4
Lego Island 2 (this has to be a joke)
TF2
FIFA (just because i love football/soccer so much but yeah it would be better if it wasn't yearly)
Terraria (this game is incredible)
Super Smash Bros (u wot m8?)
Sniper Elite V2

So yeah, you guys suck.
I can understand why they hate those games, though:

  • HL2 is a pretty lame shooter if you're not interested in the story. Episode One didn't get any better.
  • I personally like GTA IV, but it is an acquired taste. There's a lot of exaggerated humour, bad gunplay, movement sluggishness (?) and other problems that mean it's not for everybody.
  • LEGO Island 2 is conceptually worse than LEGO Island. Yes, they fixed the camera problems, but look at how the gameplay turned out. The original game also runs a lot easier than LI2 on any system
  • TF2, while the concept is nice, I can't see how people continue to play it for hundreds of hours. If you're with friends it's not bad, but for some reason (I actually want to study why) it gets on my nerves after a few online matches.
  • Sports games in general are pretty hard to get into. They're a tiny bit like many RTS games with the camera angles and the micro-management of your units, which means you need to have some appreciation of those gameplay aspects, which a lot of people don't (I much, MUCH prefer being on the ground as the character over hovering above them in the air). Add in the plethora of bugs and the unnecessary release schedules, and it's not hard to see why people don't like them.
  • In summary, Terraria is an acquired taste like GTA IV. It lacks a lot of the depth (literally) that Minecraft offers too.
  • The game is an absolute mess. It's possibly the worst fighting game I've ever played, and without being half drunk there's no way I can envision anybody playing this game. The gameplay concepts might be fine, but they play out horribly. The screen is a visually over-populated nightmare and a lot of the time the map and character design makes the game harder, when it should be the opponents who do that.
  • When I played it, I found it to be a painfully dull experience, and I'm sure a lot of other people did too.

;(
I didn't say I hate TF2, the forget are you on about?

you haven't played all of their games, because if you had you'd know that almost all their games are different in gameplay and differ in quality

also they apparently have like 800+ games jesus

Half-Life: Blue Shift - I don't hate it, it just feels really lame.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3 - Rogue Squadron is about arcade starfighter dogfights. Why would you make

Terraria - I never found whats so great or addicting about it.

Saints row the third
Halo: reach
Borderlands 2
The TT lego games (they were garbage to begin with)
Gears of war

Probably more I can't think of
