"Driver, forward, proceed with the column." The tank lurches forward and accelerates up to speed, jerking each time a gear is changed. Once the convoy is on the move, I adjust my headset's microphone. "Crew, radio check. Can you all hear loud and clear?"
"Can hear you fine, sir. What about me?"

I smile, hearing an annoying slight delay between him next to me and the headset. "Loud and clear, the both of you." I say. The sudden caffeine burst that comes with the coffee is making me both eager and nervous.

"Where the forget is Baker Tank's RTO? Is he stupid? They're transmitting intercom checks because of that idiot not managing his radio,"

Are you mentally handicapped

Are you mentally handicapped

Most likely.

I look back and admire the Tiger, and behind it, the AA section.

I take the loader's seat, covering my mouth to yawn. Shame that such we have to fight on such a nice day. I move to take a look through the side door slit, only to find the Schürzen obstructing my view.

Of course I wasn't going to see anything.

Once we reach the objective point, the tank lurches to a halt. I leave the engine running in case we need to turn or move elsewhere. Those tracks are heavy as hell and I don't want to have to help fix them.
"...we've reached our objective point..." I mutter, yawning inaudibly shortly after.

apparently miko roleplayed for me

Willis gives a half assed and mostly sarcastic salute before hopping into the driver's seat.  He responds with a, "Loud and clear!" shouting over the loud tank's engine.  He then puts the thirty ton machine in gear, rolling the mass of metal into formation, smiling as he bounces around in the driver's seat.

I drop back in the tank as the convoy comes to a halt. The CO orders that the convoy disband.

"Here we go, close the hatchs, driver, take us down this road about 700 meters and take the first left you can find, crew fighting is relatively heavy on the north-west side of this borough. It's open ground and slightly uphill to there, but our allies are fighting on the back side of this incline. The AA section should be accompanying us there. Watch for air attacks, and artillery, were in the hot zone,"

I turn to the Gunner.

"Go ahead and load HE, we should be encountering infantry,"

I push the levers forward, and the tank lurches into motion, jerking every time I shift a gear. We stop once we reach the 700m mark.
"...I hope the gunner's ready, because I see a T-34 supporting the infantry..."

I look up through the cupola periscopes and see the T34.

"Gunner load HEAT and fire at will, radioman, tell our section to get in chevron formation, and ready your weapon," I order over intercom.

I catch the unspent HE shell as the gunner opens the breach. I slide the shell back into the ammo box.

"Alright, A section get in Chevron Formation."

Iwan closes the hatch and looks through the commanders port, "Gunner, load HEAT and standby. Driver, take us into the Chevron."

I shove the HEAT round through the breach of the main gun, chambering it with a satisfying metallic plunk.

"HEAT round loaded!"

I crawl back over to the gunner's seat and begin rotating the turret to aim at the T-34. The target is just over two strich tall and moving at a slight angle towards our left. It doesn't look like they've noticed us yet.

"T-34 spotted, advancing slightly to our left at approximately 1000 meters. I'm taking the shot."

I carefully lead the enemy tank, accounting for the difference in elevation and placing the reticle a short ways ahead of the target. "Firing!" I pull the trigger. The Kwk 40 releases a deafening boom, slamming backwards into the recoil shield.
