if they won't work on the sims 5, then give the sims IP to someone who is Trust worthy and knows how to make a game. Ea did utter stuff for the sims 4
So they just remade sims 3 from scratch, skipped a bunch of stuff, and expected it to sell like a new game?
Yeah forget them.
it didn't really add anything, it removed a bunch of things though
gotta love people who have barely looked into the Sims 4 at all, and only know that it's missing some things that were present in the Sims 3.
from what i've seen, the Sims 4 makes a forgetton of improvements over the Sims 3. replacing the open world with the neighborhoods system, allowing 5 lots per neighborhood and only allowing one lot to be loaded at a time, isn't as bad as it seems. the sectioned off areas allow more sims to be loaded at once. building is also a lot easier, especially with the rooms you can drag and drop, and even with the streamlined building you can still go into great detail. the interface is a lot cleaner, as well. the devs have also put a lot of work into developing the sims themselves. they're a lot smarter, and the new multitasking system is probably one of the best new additions.
if you're really complaining about the lack of pools, the lack of normal careers, the unplayable background scenery, the flat lots, the SLIGHTLY SMALLER lot sizes (50x50 vs 64x64 oh nooo), then you're haven't looked at the game at all beyond the forum thread that listed these missing features.
now, granted, the game is far from perfect. it's pretty bullstuff that the engine doesn't allow for pools - i mean, wouldn't that be one of the first things they'd make sure would work in the game? same for the entirely flat terrain, although i doubt anyone has actually wanted a home that wasn't completely level. and of course the various cities in the background are unplayable - they're scenery (and there'll no doubt be a downtown expansion pack). the lack of create-a-style is pretty stupid, as well as the lack of a color wheel. however, just because it's made a stuff ton of changes doesn't mean you should beat the stuff out of it, when you most likely haven't shoveled out money to try it. hell, i haven't tried it and i probably never will, but from the videos i've watched of it, it seems like an enjoyable game. you can hardly call it a sequel, but that doesn't mean you can't call it a game.
and besides,
Sims 4 will do fine anyway, especially once the expansion packs start pouring in - Same as always
