I wouldn't say that feminism has done nothing. Feminism on its own is okay.
All we need is to be able to recognize that there is a kind of person that gets great satisfaction about being able to feel like they're fighting for a cause. If you want to win an argument more than you want your cause to be successful, that's how you tell.

i mean, even the idea of referring to it as a "well" seems to indicate a belief of a kind of order that simply doesn't exist in the insinuated sense

at its core, feminism is an entirely egalitarian concept and the people that follow it are not interconnected or interdependent, they simply subscribe to a shared belief. any such phenomenon will show its own unfortunate individuals, as i'm sure anyone would agree. it's something we know so well that we sometimes even expect it
