With the losses the Resunese Horde has taken and the dramatic slowing of their advance and the forces coming to meet them, they focus no longer on the offensive, and rather the defensive.

Meanwhile, in the lands they've conquered, more often than not the lower class would be seen helping out the Ezbatuboi's, as if out of sympathy and understanding. However, (the majority at the least) wouldn't offer any more help other than getting them to their feet and getting around in Resunese lands. Any talk of resistance would simply be answered with a hush and a shake of their head, for the time being.

And that's how I leave Resuland for now, as it goes into NPC status.. And now I pick up Aspidis, as my dear SWAT ONE and I agreed upon.

In order to facilitate the adoption of newer varieties of foods by the general populace, a school of Culinary Sciences is introduces at the Academy of Kai. With several small departments stationed in various cities, the school focuses on collecting recipes from the populace, comparing their ingredients and testing the interactions of various foodstuffs to determine their comparability and thusly maximize pallatability.

Around this same time, the Academy of Bao adds a school of Feng Shui to further determine the relation of humans and their engery in accordance to their interaction with the environment. Drawing on findings of magnetism of the Academy of Kai, adjustments are made to the arrangements of furnishings in most governmental buildings, and this knowledge of style and order is passed down to the populace through public forum lectures. Many new buildings constructed specifically align themselves with the passing sun overhead to maximize the stability of temperature within the structures.

Roussaeu Bao has passed. On his final day on this world he gave a moving speech about how we should view the entire world as one people, and much like the various tribes that make up the Ru'sh Naal union, each nation is but a state looking out for its own interests, however only in the joining of people can they achieve great things such as how this nation had achieved so much in so little time just through its unity.

At sundown the Bao passed and his disciple Won Ping Tei became Bao.

Won Ping Bao immediately takes the young Tsugiri Kai as his disciple, much to the surprise of many at the academies whom figured the Bao would choose one of the numerous wise leaders from within the nation, a favorite being the current secretary of state, Hai Kim Tei'Kai.

Many become uneasy that Won Ping would be the second Bao in a row whom did not herald from the Ru'sh Naal states, and now that he has taken a Reguse child as his discple, it looks that the trend would contine.

Atenisian doctors countinue to burn the bodies of the dead as they come out of the plague.

Atenisia sends diplomats to Aspidis in hopes of improving relations.

The Ezbatan states begin to push back the Resunese, but then draw up a document declaring Armistice.  The Resunese, clearly seeing that they are outmatched, also agree in additional terms that sacred objects be returned to Ezbátu.  The temporary union splits into 5 macro-states that for the most part live in peace with one another.

Won Ping Bao in a public forum gives a speech declaring that the nature of the will of Bao should transcend the national ideals of the people.  If we are to fulfill Roussaeu's request of unity, we should learn to council our foreign neighbors.

The crowd however cheers for a contender to the speech, Hai Kim Tei'Kai addresses the forum at the same time declaring that history has shown that those in other nations do not usually wish to follow the will of Bao, for they are not as culturally disciplined as the Rustuffes.

The Bao states however that culture is relative, and as the Tei'Kai should know through his own position in representing the nation, that each culture would always believe their own to be the more acceptable form of conduct. The crowd however sides with Hai Kim Tei'Kai in the argument booing the Bao that they feel to be attacking their ideals.

The Bao declares that he understands that the people do not yet see the importance of his will but that their nation stands at a tipping point in which they may lead the world into a new era of peace should they conduct themselves well enough. The Bao also would like to remind the people that it is historically the position of the Bao to be at odds with the people in order to push them into a more progressive direction, and it is through these feats that Ru'sh Naal had achieved its current glory.

A popular folk lore about a young Kai whom wished to visit the moon and rode a firework to land there is transcribed and is one of the first distributed texts not directly related to Baoism (although with Baoist elements in it's telling) or any scientific texts. The work was developed in order to help facilitate the literacy of the general populace, and after the release of the books within several communities, applications to the academies of Kai in those regions increase and there are many more attendees of the free public forum lectures.

Under the desire of the previous Bao, Roussaeu and and the Artistic Genius of the Daeseong family, a great stone buddha monument is constructed in the mountains above Russa, as well as a large temple complex in the mountain around the region. The structure was funded in order to promote trans-culturalism in the face of the recent spread of Buddhism throughout the region and the artistic splendor of the templecomplex draws people from nearby nations in awe and becomes a major buddhist sanctuary in the Ru'sh Naal region.

I was too lazy to draw a picture this time so ill just link to my inspiration so you can get an idea what im talking about

Enough time has elapsed and effort has been applied, that the militaries of the former Avalonian Union states and Espul + East Geran have been successfully merged into a well trained, strong, and efficient fighting force.

There has been a resurgence of Dreibetungism in the New Union which has come hand in hand with the return of the Council government.  Many nominal Dreibetungists have become more participant in religious ceremonies and sacrifices.  Many Cassians in the area have seemingly become less devoted as travel from the Holy Nations has slowed following plague and distance restrictions.  Dreibetungist missionaries are being trained (not by the government, you'll note that the High Priest no longer has a seat) and sent out to strengthen the resolve in devotees throughout the Southern World (between the Utesian Ocean's corners).

By the bequest of the representative from the Britonic States, an emissary is sent to reward the Britonic States' Eastern counterpart for the role it played in returning the ancient bloodline to the throne.  Gifts of silver are sent in gratitude, and the region is offered a representative to the High Command (same type of thing Ormica and Espul, or to a smaller degree Gungixao had back in the day) should it choose to allow Avalonia the same courtesy.

Turtle Island's defenses have been fully restored, and even improved upon.

The great Bao, Won Ping, has passed.

In his efforts to reconstruct the elixir of immortality, the Bao ingested large quantites of mercury salts and saltpeters and began suffering from ailing health, which caused the ingestion of even more of these substances.

The compounding effects allowed the Bao to realize, albeit far too late, that the potions he was taking were in fact poisoning him invalidating many medical texts previously held as irrefutable. Shortly after reporting his findings, he died, leaving the position of Bao to his young disciple, Tsugiri Kai.

Tsugiri Bao chooses Natwana-Wun Tei'Kai, a longtime instructor at the Navaro Kai facilities, as his disciple, however the citizenry are once again irritated at the passing over of considering Hai Kim Tei'Kai as the next Bao. Tsugiri Bao reminds the people that the Bao must be at odds with their government in order to keep their government in check.

Many people believe that the new Bao is secretly a practicing Buddhist however and ask for him to step down from this role, to which he responds that he was chosen for the role to execute the will of Bao, by the previous Bao, and if they do not have faith in him, they do not have faith in the will of Bao at all.

Alright, I would like to make a moderator request that Cassians and their level of faith ect. are controlled by SWAT One.

I assume you're saying this because Plethora said Cassians lose devotion in Avalonia because of the plague, and while you have a point, Plethora isn't in the wrong. People lose faith when they feel that there is no one there. If they place church before country, and the church falls into ruins because of plague, who do the people fall back to?

That was an initiative; Plethora has done these sort of things in the past.

Besides, the Church didn't fall in ruin; the plague was contained in Atenisia. If it wasn't, then every single nation in that little group+others will be treated unduly due to my unlucky RE.

Cassian faith resides in East Albiton.

You can also add to that that a lot of the really hardcore ones were exiled for supporting the regime the current one deposed, growing pressure to put the state before the church (as if it weren't strong already), and increased religious activity of Dreibetungists around them.

If the Cassian faith resides in East Albiton, all the weaker it should be in Avalonia due to the recent travel limitations.  Nothing farther than Atensia would really be able to influence Avalonia to a large extent, excepting Turtle Island.

Either way, it should be remembered that you should pm SWAT if you want something like that done (change of rules or procedures), and he will determine whether or not to enact anything or set up a poll or bring it up for discussion among the other moderators.  Please heed this in future and help keep this clear of posts that have to do with how the thread is run rather than what happens in it.

A national pasttime becomes popular consisting of multiple sticks with paddles mounted at intervals placed on mounts with players standing on either side to rotate the sticks and thus the attached paddles. A small ball is dropped into the center and the players compete by bouncing the ball between the paddles that have the sticks protrude to their side of the game board, until it reaches a narrow bucket at either end of the field. The sport is termed "Fu's Ball" after Lei Fu Kai whom popularized the activitiy.
