*New Union

The New Union sends a representative to Athens by land - no dangerous sea travel after Turtle Island for us thank you very much.

The King speaks before the assembly:

"As you all know, the nation of Espovon is being invaded by daemons or the devil himself..." he looks nervously at the New Union representation, "and the equal representation of the devil in your religion." All of the HN member representatives, and the Pope, look a little bit at the NU representative, as if they cannot be trusted. "We must expel these invaders from our world."

he then goes on about his battle plan and argues with the Albiton representative while the Pope looks at the bickering in annoyance.

The representative from the New Union holds his peace until there is a brief lull, and puts in his two cents.

"Firstly, regardless of our religious beliefs as to the identity of these monstrosities, the need to annihilate them is obvious.  Secondly, with the seas unusable after Turtle Island as far as the New Union is concerned, we are not in a good position to send aid to the HN, despite the obvious necessity of doing so.  The NUHC has sent me to propose that our forces muster in the area around Turtle Island where there are already extensive Avalonian fortifications and an existing HN military presence (Calzone).  The New Union cannot extend itself very much farther than this on behalf of those who seem to be," the representative makes eye contact with the HN representatives, "willing to dishonor the New Union by accounting it untrustworthy.  Mustering around Turtle Island need not mean abandoning your homelands, something more akin to luring the snakes away from them and dealing the deathblow elsewhere."

airways, escape routes and supply tunnels begin to form underneath Konigsberg

The Atenisian King waits for the decision of the other representatives before he makes his vote.

UH

Are you convinced that given the frequency of lightning strikes in some regions being considered absurd, and the fact that at that time there are as well snakes flying through said storm, that there would not be a single snake sadly struck?

edit: and I also said "attempt" so if it should be so that the Kai begin to scaple a slightly stunned serpent whom stikes them in turn, id understand.

however i doubt theyd find out much anyways, as im pretty sure these are just like dinosaur sized snakes with wings and not actually daemons

This is okay.

Also, Lóng demolishes some of the eastern towns of the Tsekēnese frontier and of northern Rēsugurētā, stealing its wealth.  Ezbátu demands for a field test of one of the snare ballistae on the lesser Lóngi.

Leviathan lands at an Espovs harbor, raising its head a half league over sea level, accompanied by some lesser Leviathans.  The serpants attack the port town, and with a swipe of the Leviathan's mighty tail, wipe out a row of docks and wharfs.

Thanks to the combined scholarly efforts of the Kai and their international cohorts, their culimnated efforts have resulted in a mobile ballistae type weapon capable of firing five shots a minute with a well trained crew of only three soldiers (and an elephant or if not available a team of oxen)
However, elephants, being of cultural signficance have been increasingly used in defense efforts.
Btw if you are wondering whats with the garb, its a tiger armor. Cause everyone knows if you are fighting a dragon, you need a tiger :D

The device functions by the aimer rotating the ballista on its platform until in the desired position then firing, afterwards a crank is utilized to quickly pull back the string (tethered so it doesnt flap to far after firing). At this point a team of loaders should have already placed a set up snare-arrow on the loading mechanism that when the string is taught, the arrow is lifted into place by the same crank that the aimer is using (a gear having been dropped into place after it pulls the rope to its maximum length).

These weapons are brought to the front of the storms to be used by Ezbatan forces in taking down one of these monsters for real.

Ladios, if those technological improvements are gonna continue to the real thread you should put (Canon) under it.

They would take much longer, than this cause I doubt after the holiday event im still gonna have the people being inspired to make such a device. It was created in a time of nessecity, so I doubt the contraption would exist in the actual military (as it would have no practical use? i mean I know my people are whalers so it would help them with that but I plan on having them ween off of whaling soon cause whales are awesome) nor the international input in creating the contraption.

As Galaumia sends 50k troops to help Ru'sh Naal, 5 Galaumian scholars are given a very important task. Search ruins, lore, whatever you can find, for ways to defeat the legend of the 3 serpents. They are given 40 assistants each. The assistants are divided into guards, general lackeys and fellow scientists/scholars/students.

large catapults begin construction, hot pitch starts to be brewed in large quantities

Atenisia begins to build catapults that have the ability to, upon impact, spray some sort of hot material.

Said material hasn't been discovered, but scientists are on to something.
