Author Topic: Anagaea II – A New Age of Empires [1117 AD]  (Read 130547 times)

I meant on the way to Siderland.  As far as reaching the IE, what you stated is what's being done.

No, I mean it might be better if you stop through Albhad and travel by caravan to the Galaumian colony, then travel north to Siderland by caravan.  That way, your goods and merchants can be guaranteed full safety, protection and financial security.

And yes, the last version of Anagaea was strange.  I wonder how we made it through the middle ages back then.  This is probably the best middle ages rendition of a BLF Nation RP I've seen.

Elephants are loose in the city of Teijina!

Well I mean, it's just more direct & quicker, & therefore cheaper to go through Ytsur, providing that Ytsur isn't a bunch of pirates and OTA doesn't go ballistic and overtax because merchants are taking the quick way and goods still go to them.

The Order of the Golden Lion reestablishes a chapter in Siderland and opens up a couple of its colleges there.

A Plexian chemist dies in an explosion.  After the smoke clears, some of the contents of his workspace are salvaged and an investigation is made into how exactly the explosion came about.  Local merchants are questioned as to the chemist's recent purchases, and the remains of anything he wrote down are taken and examined.  The man supposedly had been attempting to replicate an incomplete recipe for an "Elixr of Life" rumored to exist in Irajinad, a partial recipe supposedly obtained from a mstar fishcript from Haman (intelligence on this would, of course, still be spotty at best).

ETMs are entitled to the same protection and tax rights and restrictions.  OTA is not permitted to tax above 10%, and likewise, the New Union cannot tax OTA members or other ETMs of OTA greater than 10%.  As is part of the OTA agreement, OTA members and ETMs are to protect each other's trade interests.  The only thing that ETMs are not entitled to are district policymaking influence and organizational influence of all of OTA.  They may send representatives, but they do not have voting power in meetings.  As for the third district (Avalonia, Siderland, Albhad), Albhad has authority on trade protection.

As far as ensuring your traders' safety in Ytsur, there is a travel ban where Albhadi citizens cannot cross Ytsuri borders or cross into Ytsuri waters.  Besides the fact that they can gather foreigners as slaves, it is advised to avoid that region as much as possible.  And as mentioned before, taxes for traveling through the region are higher.  Albhad says that it will refuse protection in such an instance.

Ytsur, however, will agree on the cbrown town if Avalonia pays for 75% of it.

As Teijin forces are drawn in to stabilize the issue, Ezbatan forces rush to the southern wall, and split its forces three ways, with each infantry force fighting any residual opposition force that may remain there after troop relocations.  The infantry outnumbers the Teijin forces and manages to get them to retreat to the wall.  Double ballistae then begin to fire bolts at the wall, which after a period of time, in the three contact points, manage to breach the wall.

Strange carts full of ceramic pots then roll up near to the wall as crossbowmen and light infantry breach the wall to cause mayhem inside.  Soldiers then begin to grab clay pots, light a small fuse at the top and then throw them at any defense points or arrow loops.  The pots burst on impact and scatter flaming oil-åkēle-seaweed mixtures all around.  This produces noxious black clouds and a great deal of fire, producing the unknown effect of suffocating anyone in enclosed spaces.

At this time, cavalry breaches the wall and rushes in to cause major damage from behind.

Meanwhile, at sea, the united force departs from Xaonaan and is heading in the direction of the enemy fleet, according to numerous patrol reports.

If Avalonia continues to deal with Ytsur, they will see worsening relations with Galaumia. Galaumia, and Albhad as well have no tolerance for the despicable practices that occur there.

Espovon requests that zuruk not stay too long, Espovon does not want to anger its new trade partner.

ALSO FYI

when I said /"accept"/ terms to albiton

that means I grafted myself into the holy nations, but I never converted everyone to cassian or bothered too (this however is unknown to the holy nations, although it still holds a reasonable amount of the populace so it will go unnoticed I did not do anything - unless they have been sending inquisitors of some sort which i would deny entry )

Espovon has now geared towards a tougher infrastructure, military, naval forces and finally agriculture

I'd pretty much say it's less of an agreement and more of an ultimatum.  They just pretty much asked you to come peacefully.

Inquisitors would be sent, doubtless, and according to any agreement that Albiton would send in such an instance, they would nullify your right to deny inquisitor entry.

works either way.

I'm just curious but what age does this rp go on until?

The end of time, hopefully.

And because I've been late to reply to thread because of IRL stuff, and kinda don't have too much time:

Conservatia begins to mobilize armies to the west, with a campaign in place that is to secure the rest of their peninsula and to liberate the natives and convert them to faithful followers of god.

I'm just curious but what age does this rp go on until?
As long as it lasts.  Postmodern/futuristic probably.  Unless MAD happens again like in the last one.

sweet

I can't wait for the 1800's

Yeah.  One thing that'll be sad though is that there will be pretty much no period of exploration since we know pretty much where all the stuff is.

yea I was looking to make some colonies bu there's no real ideal areas out of the way other that east of avalonia which is too far

also thought about the velic sea but its a stretch + pirates and stuff lurk about

Ytsur, however, will agree on the cbrown town if Avalonia pays for 75% of it.
To heck with that.

New Union merchants begin to bypass Ytsur, or pass through its waters heavily armed and with a degree of secrecy.  Looking at the OTA page, it seems there's an embargo on Ytsur, and wishing to maintain the benefits of membership, trade there effectively drops to very low levels.

The New Union sends an ambassador to Siderland to discuss the possibilities of free trade and collaboration within the framework of the OTA between the two nations.

Merchants from the New Union begin to import goods from the OTA for export into the Holy Nations and vice verse (given that the Spice Road passes through some unsavory territory and it's always cheaper to move stuff by sea I think this is reasonable).  I don't know what exactly either side of the ocean has that the other doesn't, but the New Union is profiting by moving it around!

There's that island above Zurukland.

Unless MAD happens again like in the last one.
