You have to beat either The Chest or The Dark Room, then on any run after, bombing the angels starts a fight and they drop 2 key parts, 1 each. After that, The Chest and The Dark Room have a large door you can open with said key.

you Have to beat the heart 9 or 10 times, Until you unlock "It lives".
or you can get lucky and get a devil room after fighting the heart, which allows you to go to shoel before even unlocking it.

I used the "We need to go deeper" to get to Sheol before I even fought Mom's Heart, but of course, I died soon after.
Don't blame me though, I only recently begun my journey in the game.

They made it to where skipping floors does not give the items from that floors boss. Found this out when i was teleported to an "I am error" room on Depths 2 and i never got the item or the kill for mom.

I mean the unlock. Of course it never gave you the item that is given from beating the boss. That would have been an abusable glitch. No, int he last game if, for example, you skipped Womb/Utero 2 and are still able to get unlocks from the heart, then it would unlock the item anyway, pretty much allowing you to skip the fight and go to sheol without losing the unlock.
