avira. picked it up when i accidentally fell for that TF2 unusual item virus, dealt with it p well.

A mixture of Malwarebytes and common sense. Malware bytes is just a weekly precaution.

Sorry, this isn't 2004. People have figured out the art of getting a virus past your nose, and have been using it for quite a while now. Get an actual antivirus, you dumbasses.


i haven't needed an antivirus in a long time

Malwarebytes and CCleaner is all you really need.

I always found Lavasoft Ad-Aware to work well, although scan time is slow.



Bullguard.
Free trial came with my laptop, it seemed pretty decent.
They wanted to me to purchase it, as the trial was expiring, and they kept offering me increasing discounts the longer I took.
About a day before it ended they gave me about a 30-40% discount, I think.
