I dive on the cruiser's wound, firing all of my FEAR rockets as I drop both of the bombs. My idea is to have the FEAR rockets act as bait for automated defense guns, like chaff is for missiles, as the bombs fly in.
A few of the rockets are intercepted, but the plan works. The bombs hit home and the H.E.V. Cuauhtlan begins its inescapable descent.
You recieve a transmission from the allied ground forces.
: It- it's coming down right on top of us! Oh, God, it's going to -

The stricken titan plows through a large building without stopping, sending it crashing down into the street below. It continues its descent through all the architecture in its path before finally coming to rest in the city park, leaving a half a mile of utter destruction in its wake. Thankfully, the city's civilian population was completely evacuated, but a large number of allied defenders were killed in the crash.

: We're... we're reading that the objective has been destroyed. Can you confirm?

A dozen or so explosions can be heard. I continue to pull away. Some thirty seconds later the AWACS calls in.

"Confirmed AWACS. It's left a huge trail of debris in its wake. It hit a dew buildings too, but it fell on our lines." I say in reply.

I begin hunting down a Draken. He attempts to break but I keep up. I get a nice tone and let loose the only HSM on my aircraft.

I pull up a bit, and use the energy I gained in the dive to fire my gunpod at the enemy ace. Then I pull up past the clouds again before I bleed enough speed for him to easily follow.

"...Target is down, but not without consequence."

The Draken, out of flares, has no choice but to take the hit, and it spirals out of control. The last thing you see before it enters the dust cloud left by the barge's descent is the pilot ejecting. The ace, on the other hand, merely goes evasive and begins retreating with what remains of his squad.

: ...Understood. Looks like the enemy fighters are disengaging and Aesthian reinforcements are only a few hours out. Our work here is as done as it can be.
: Aesthian planes, we must thank you for your assistance. But at the same time, could you not have disabled the target without resulting in the deaths of so many of our soldiers?
: Don't you dare try to guilt-trip him. You saw that descent, whoever was at the helm of that thing tried to hit all that stuff. I don't think there was anything we could have done to stop him if he wanted to crash it.

gonna go to sleep now

rp wise let's just say junkers stays silent unless prompted by a superior because of what transpired, atleast until he returns to the base

considering its almost 3 here im gonna go sleep too
to summarize what happened
mission was a "success"
swat 3 was shot down and captured by huits
steele was shot down and picked up by NAUC reinforcements
everyone is back at base by morning

While doing repairs, the technicians in charge of repairing Junkers' plane quietly add three kill markings, one of them being rather large.

should've stayed up a little longer

well now that's all said and done, can mine and operator's requisitions be fulfilled?

Upon returning, you are all commended for your daring assault on the Huits' superweapon, and promoted up one rank. Tier 2 planes aren't available on the base yet, but you will be able to fly them once they are.

I politely request that command tells me when/if they capture a working Saab Gripen.

(Actually it's just associated with fear, paranoia, and the unforgiving nature of the deep jungle that your ancestors had to overcome, but if your character wants to see some sort of connection there that's all cool.)

hey mang i dont have much info on the details of a fictional world mang

its ok mang maybe your character is just misremembering things, it just wouldnt make sense for the huits to slap a big betrayal symbol on the planes of people who are supposed to remain loyal

i was thinking more ancient greek style deities where they have both good and bad associations

like how poseidon would cause earth quakes
