The key difference is that she doesn't have the nose pointed up at the sky at the end of the flip

i don't think it's physically possible, even for a supermaneuverable aircraft, to do a flip while stalling as a result of maneuvering, not loss of airspeed

She retained full control of the plane while she was flying with the thrust vectoring controls. It would be stalling if she was flying anything that couldn't be pushed that far.

you're describing a scenario where you aren't simply doing a loop de loop, but instead you're using the supermaneuverability of your aircraft to push a flip largely independent of your previous momentum

once your angle of attack is at about 90 degrees, the aircraft's center of drag starts interfering beyond the control of thrust vectoring

1 of 3 things would happen:

your aircraft immediately aims the nose towards the angle you're moving at, likely resulting in a cobra

your aircraft immediately begins aiming the nose towards the angle you're moving at, but enters a spin

your aircraft's wings and horizontal stabilizers cannot resist the stress placed on the airframe, and they break off

isnt this what post-stall maneuvering is

post-stall maneuvering is only achievable in extremely short bursts, such as reaching the vertical position in pugachev's cobra, or when you're at an extremely low airspeed

there's a youtube video for everything i guess

the part i linked to shows the pilot pulling it about as far as the PAK can go before it loses all its speed, or aerodynamic resistance kicks in and puts the PAK back on course

towards the end of the video, one of the pilots does a loop-de-loop with some very minor stalling towards the end of it- that would make perfect sense for what operator is trying to do, just not a total "pugachev's flip" so to speak

i'm not gonna let this degenerate into a full blown argument so i'm just gonna resort to my notes and put down a ruling
when in doubt
stress damage
operator still does the maneuver but the plane's control surfaces get damaged in the process

nah, just retcon it to a tight loop-de-loop and she doesnt even have to deal with stress damage

There's the stress damage I'm leaving looking for

probably just me being me but i cant understand whats being said here

My fuselage is torn to shreds.
"forget, forget."
I could eject, or go in for one more round.
I bank around and try to get on the tail of one of the enemy aircraft.

"I don't know if anyone on here can hear me but i need cover! I'm going in for another run on the ground units! Anybody!"

The music is still playing loudly and after a few minutes i decide to continue my ground assault. I let off 2 AGMs onto the enemy forces below and with luck will be ignored by the enemy fighters.
Today is not your lucky day, and you find yourself pelted with both fire from the ground, and a cannon burst from a Eurofighter that saw you.

Bell uses her PAK FA's momentum and afterburners to do a near vertical climb and use the airbrakes thrust vectoring to flip the plane's orientation. She opens up on the Turkreb with both of her coaxial guns and dives down to level out.
The pulse laser opens up and you feel the heat as it punches superheated holes into the oncoming plane. No explosive finish yet, though, and it fires another pair of missiles accompanied by laserfire of its own as it shoots past. Fortunately for you, the missiles were fired too close and they do not connect.

There's a flash and a white trail in my mirrors. I drop flares and jink to avoid the missile.
The missile goes for the bait, but the enemy plane is still chasing you and you see cannonfire zip past your roosterpit. The AWACS briefly reappears on your sensors.

I bank around and try to get on the tail of one of the enemy aircraft.
The enemy plane is currently chasing Whiskey and is either unaware of or deliberately ignoring your presence.

I lock on and launch 2 HSM's at the plane chasing Whiskey.
"Fox Two! Fox Two!"

Faw takes a look around him and tries to ascertain the statuses of his squadron members without the use of the radio.
