She is, and shoots you a thumbs up.

Walter nods back

"I'm siding with the Kintharians on this. Hopefully they're willing to offer some sort of asylum. That's my stance."

"I have to back Tippy and Walt up on this. 'Instigation of a nuclear holocaust' is the last thing I want to be remembered for."

Tippys admittance to her belief in Raiden leaves him further torn. She couldn't possibly collaborate! But if their words were enough to sway her, then maybe they had some validity. He steels himself in a moment of clarity.

"Mjolnir, the only way the we can be sure the world is turning tomorrow is if we go with Raiden, because if they are bluffing or not, there will be no nukes flying today. If we strike, we'll I'd say it would be a coin toss whether the world ends tonight,"

He looks to Ellie.

"I hate it, and I hate the Imperials, but nobody wins a nuclear war,"

He begins signing to Ellie.

"But before that, Raiden, you will release Ellie,"

: Since you guys are going with them, I could just continue on to the rendezvous and say that you were all shot down. I doubt Takirov would fall for that, but I don't want to shoot you right now.

"But before that, Raiden, you will release Ellie,"
: Fine.

There's a delay for a few seconds while Ellie's controls are unlocked. The low-level jamming and loss of ESAM functionality still persists for the time being.
: Since you guys are going with them, I could just continue on to the rendezvous and say that you were all shot down. I doubt Takirov would fall for that, but I don't want to shoot you right now.
: That's-
: Fine! That's fine, we will take that offer.

Xiaomei audibly sighs and gives further instructions.
: Anybody coming with us, adjust to heading 260.
: You guys can't be serious about letting these traitors just fly off!
: We don't have much of a choice. We've got who knows how many guns pointed at our backs already, and it sounds Mjolnir is halfway full of turncoats. We let them go, at least some loyalists will make it to the fight.
: We still shouldn't let them get away with treason! I say we go out swinging!
: Then what? Even if we kill the traitors, Raiden's still waiting to shoot us in the back, and then the Kintharians still win.

Cualli allows herself a slight smile despite her nervousness about the uncertainties that lie ahead. "I'm not about to leave my son behind, you know," she tells Elu, shifting his weight again. "You're all I've got."
She gives the engineer a nod and keeps up her sprint, hoping that they're close to the escape pods. She sends a silent prayer up to the gods, thanking them for the fact that they've yet to encounter any resistance.
Fortunately, the nearest escape pods were located in the still-evacuated engine block, and you don't run into any security forces along the way. The engineer stops in front of one of the pods and starts talking to nobody in particular.
: [You want me to do what? What, did you just talk it out? Huh, I was wondering why so much nothing was happening. You still want me to keep them locked out of their support module though, right? Alright, done.]

Cualli sets Elu in one of the escape pods and looks over at the engineer. "Are you going to explain things any further now?" she asks.

: I guess that's it then.

Bell breaks from the formation and heads for the rendezvous point with the fleet.

Ellie checks her controls and looks over at Crash's Tukreb.

Walter watches Virvel as he slowly pulls away and then moves to adjust his heading

Jaakko looks at the Wyvern and waves.

"How do you hear?" He asks tiredly.

Ellie replies, "I copy, what's happening?"

Tippy adjusts her heading with the info provided. (Kinths)

Jaakko explains the proceeding events and current situation wearily.

"How do you feel?"

"I'm not happy about having control of the plane I'm in, but I'm fine."

Ellie watches everyone go in different directions.

"What's going on?"

"Raiden jumped us, told us that they couldn't allow us to strike the Imperial capital. They say the Imperial command center there has a dead man switch primed to launch nukes if it is destroyed. The apparently have told this to the Mercanans. Tarkirov either knows and doesn't care, or thinks it's a bluff, or it could be a bluff. The squadron's split. A few are going with Raiden to an Imperial ship, a few are continuing to the strike fleet,"

Having to explain it pains Jaakko. He remains as torn as ever.

What if a strike really means the end of the world?

What does the world matter if it's run by the Imperials anyway!

What if the Kintharians are lying?

And if the Imperials aren't?

They won't stop until they're put in their place!

You don't want to start a nuclear war, do you?

He continues being indecisive.

Gods damnit son, make a loving decision! Stop being indecisive! His father's scathing words from long ago.

Jaakko is pulled back in to reality, staring at Ellie's aircraft. The words sting him, and Jaakko tried to contain how upset he is with it all.

"What do you choose?" He asks with hints of a whimpering tone.

"All I will say is that I will not let myself be responsible for a nuclear holocaust. I do not want that on my conscience. I'm sorry, sir."
Markus changes his heading to 260.
