persia discovers a revolutionary way to refine oil into a highly flammable liquid, far stronger than any previous petrol-based fuels such as petroleum or diesel
it is called alborzium, named after the man who discovered how to make it
a modified version if the ID-1 is being created, with a more heavily armored fueltank, 20mm autocannon operated by the commander, a 238mm RHAe upgrade to the armor thanks to modern reactive tile designs, and a new engine that runs on alborzium
in tests, the prototype has demonstrated speeds of over 140 km/h on flat ground like runways or roads, and about 83-108 km/h on the persian sand dunes
as wonderful as the tests are, it is expected that the tank in operation will not go beyond 90 km/h on hard ground to prevent damaging the tank's tracks
the new tank is named the PD-2
while extremely useful, the fuel requires the most modern of refining tech and is comparatively expensive
all members of the WAA are given the fuel's recipe along with russia, china, vietnam and germany
