I am OK with this.

There should be a tier system and different characteristics for each car

Tier 1 would be crap cars like the insight

Tier 5 would be 458 Italia

I actually want to do something different, the car bodies won't affect the perfomance of the car at all, just the parts you add to it (engine, exhaust, brakes, stuff like that) So you can drive any car body you want as fast as you want (imagine a minivan racing a supercar body) But I plan to separate them into types of cars like Coupé, Hatchback, Sedan, Super, Minivan and other bodies

Also what engine are you using to make this?

Is it me or are the wheels on that car enormous for that red car body. I guess you could try making the wheels a bit smaller.

The wheels are the same size compared to the yellow car, maybe the red car wheel arches are giving an illusion for you since they're dark grey idk

i hope i won't lag like hell on medium settings when it will be released



also i tried the demo
this is the only game that i'm not lagging like hell on really great graphics (getting a solid 30 fps)

It shouldn't! Also, just as clarification, things like the ground textures and tree textures are NOT going to be the semi-realistic textures you see here now! This will be changed to a more solid color look, with some nice surface bump-mapping, depending on the material.

Damn straight, the textures and trees are a placeholder to test the terrain capabilities until we get the actual textures done and ready.

are the cars based off of real designs or are they your own creations?
