Souls Thread [Demon's, Dark 1, 2, 3, SotfS, BB] - Working as intended.

i saw the 30 minute japanese stream and it looked WAY different than normal dark souls, looked more demon's souls/bloodborne'y to me. iunno man, you sure you're not just misjudging

There are several NPCs and other things ripped straight from DaS1. Andre, Siegnotmayer, Oscar as a world prop thing, the loving bat demon transition cutscene

Some nostalgic throwbacks are okay, but straight copypastes are not in my book

Also you can get the uchigatana which already looks overpowered (among with dex and Flynn's) not much after the second boss, and use it as an SL8 Mercenary.

Lets be careful not to confuse character tie-ins with copy and paste lazyness. Given dark souls lore and its history of being confusing, these characters could be here for any number of reasons. Also Its just an Elite Knight (there were a lot of elite knights so they weren't really anything special.), nobody knows if its Oscar or not. Andre raises an eyebrow but i feel like he could be there for a legit reason. You might be scaring yourself into disappointment with your own expectations.

haven't played ds1 yet, no copy and pasting to get disappointed by in ds3

i just got to the brain of mensis room in bloodborne and i'm genuinely upset
seriously that area is the most pathetic thing i've seen in this game it's just an empty area with no rendered models
you can see the entire building above you ahHH

also i can't believe this game made a boss that isn't centered around gimmicky moves and has made me more frustrated than i have ever been in this game
what's worse is the orphan of kos is a newborn ghoul mimicking mickey mouse as it punts you into the ground

hey i beat bloodborne and once again the game's final boss is disappointing
only boss i missed was moon presence and that was because i didn't know you had to use the umbilical cords

I got bloodborne and its so jarring playing it after playing dark souls 2 as a lumbering tank. Its also kinda hard to play it after going from PC with and xbox controller to PS4 with a PS controller.

I hope DS3 Works well on PC.

tbh i like bloodborne's combat more than dark souls, it forces you to be aggressive with limited blood vials and the rally mechanic
absolutely hate the sidestep garbage though
