It matters in PvE too.

I loving get stunlocked by tiny rats till death. I could be wearing full havel and I'll get stunlocked in 1 hit.

PVP is now just about who attacks first with the fastest weapon. This is why Estoc is king in PVP.

Lack of poise in PVE is not fun at all. Especially with mob enemies because you'll get stunlocked and it's not within your control.

In Demon's Souls you are fighting humans.

In Dark Souls you are fighting hollows.


Pretty much there is no such things as humans anymore in Dark Souls. Even what looks like a human is really an undead.

This is why there is no Demon's Souls 2. The story of that game has been concluded.

I'm new to the game so I don't really understand what you're talking about. How is Estoc different from like, a long sword?
