even longsword users have more skill involved than the estoc because they at least try to occasionally heavy attack or use their weapon art

and estocs are jackhammers against everything below greatshields too which is loving rediculous considering the estoc is a fencing sword and weapons like the lucerne and the claymore take twice as long to break thru a shield block

all that being said, their total refusal to git gud makes them easy to parry and while my lucerne has stuff for phantom range its actual range still outperforms the estoc so assuming i never let them hit in the first place im usually ok

forget the gundyr halberd though its range is loving stupid and it frustrates me personslly more than anything else in ds3

dark sword is the widely understood to be op straight sword, anyway. very little stamina use, massive dps and dat phantom range bruh

With the lack of poise any weapon will stagger you no matter what armor you have.

Since estoc is fast with long reach you'll always get loving stunlocked.

Estoc also has 360 degree tracking.


As soon as poise gets turned on you estoc scrubs are done.

I've only ever used winged spear in the souls games with hard leather armor. Its my preferred build in both PVE and PVP. Shield and Spear bitches.

Wearing heavy armor is now literally no different than wearing light armor.

Poise was the only usefulness of heavy armor.

Putting on Havel's ring is a disadvantage, it's a waste of a ring slot.

High vitality is a disadvantage, waste of points.

No poise? Entire build is trash.
