ds1 was slow paced but not sluggish
ds2 was sluggish outside of pvp

You tell me how it's sluggish.

You tell me how it's sluggish.
the weapons are uninspired and so are the enemies
the enemies can stunlock you into oblivion
when you die you lose 10% of your hp up to a cap of loving 50% and have to find effigies which are a LIMITED loving resource
ridiculous levels of gank

the weapons are uninspired and so are the enemies

A lot of the weapons in DS1 were unbalanced or weren't fully utilized to their true potential. Whips sucked, fist weapons sucked, crossbows and bows sucked, etc.

Then DS2 came along and fixed all that bullstuff.

the enemies can stunlock you into oblivion

Giantdad in DS1 didn't get his name without his infamous stunlocking chaos zweihander.

Then stop dying. They just wanted to make the game harder and succeeded.

ridiculous levels of gank

Worse in DS1 with the ridiculous levels of poise and over powered magic attacks that pretty much go through every shield in the loving game, sometimes 1 shotting you.

At least in DS2 I have more shields with 100% magic absorption than any other shield in DS1.

oh boy spamming more enemies clearly improved ds2 in SotfS

The randomized locations is what adds variety.

I was expecting random enemy placements for DS3. Do you know how boring it is killing the same enemy in the same spot?

And from what I'm seeing DS3 NG+ barely adds anything new.

This is the first game in the souls series where NG+ is boring.

the original point of dark souls was to learn from your mistakes, not to be hard
if the enemies were random you couldn't learn where they were and counter them

That's all fine and dandy for NG.

Then when you reach NG+ it should be random. If you learned nothing from NG then NG+ randomized enemies won't make a difference.

well I have no response
enjoy your victory
you've stumped me with pure autism

I'm going to list difficulty from hardest to least.

Dark Souls 2.

Demon's Souls.

Dark Souls 1.

Dark Souls 3.

DS3 has too many checkpoints for the game to be considered hard.

The church area with the endless respawning corpses is probably the only area with the least amount of bonfires because it designed the church to have multiple shortcuts to unlock.

Every other area has bonfires like every 10-20 feet. Did there really need to be a bonfire in the middle of road of sacrifices? Not really.

it's not that there's bonfires everywhere it's that the areas are too small

Not really. A lot of these "tiny areas" are really one big area.

Undead settlement has a total of 5 bonfires. That area isn't as big as it looks.

Road of sacrifices has 9 loving bonfires. About 3-4 of them are unnecessary.

well farron is in there too but the only one that's unnecessary to me is the crucifixion woods bonfire

There's also another bonfire in between farron swamp and that swamp isn't even that big.
