Fallout Australia would be hilarious I think

Mutant kangaroos would be scary as forget

I didn't know I wanted this.

almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter

Its their game now, they can do whatever they want with the lore. If they change it from Interplay's bullstuff then that's what they did.
Which begs the question in the first place, why buy the rights in the rights in the first place? They could have easily got Tim Cain, Sawyer, and Chris Avellone on board to do Fallout 3.

World building isn't that hard to do and essentially they already made their own universe which essentially has nothing to do with what has already been established.

A snowy fallout would be freakin cool
Uh, yes? That would be loving fantastic.

I can respect that. But its still not cool.
why not? it's not like it makes a ton of sense for people to create a new drug after a nuclear apocalypse
firstly, and most obviously, because of resources. just not having what it takes to make the stuff
but also why would they? what reason would they have to invent a new drug? addiction isn't notoriously helpful

however, there is a reason to continue making it after the war, if it existed before: all of the people who were already addicted! easy money

I have a feeling you've never done it before

Uh, yes? That would be loving fantastic.
introducing: Useless husky follower

i actually feel like dogmeat is a really interesting character conceptually because he feels so much smarter then the player and the rest of the companions (outside of the quirks of the companion AI)

all i want is for the first 'unlimited companions' mod to come out and for it to be revealed that bethesda actually coded a billion companion-dogmeat interactions that all revolve around your companion voicing one of their various eccentricities and dogmeat playing the canine straight man to, say, curie

Holy stuff. Why do people invent drugs now? To get away from their mundane day to day lives. Why would people invent drugs after a nuclear apocalypse? Maybe because their lives are stuffty and they want to get away from stuff. Not to mention you can make a lot of money from drugs.

Also, you obviously havent played fallout 2. Jet is basically just brahmin stuff if i remember correctly.

fallout 4 actually holds true to that; jet is made with fertilizer and water, its basically just radioactive stuff

the only issue I have with the Jet in fallout 4 is that you find it in prewar places. I have a feeling this is just due to the randomized loot though.

To get away from their mundane day to day lives.
no, it's just for money
but in a reasonable world where you really have to worry about survival, it would probably be quite a bit more profitable to sell people protection in one way or another rather than trying to get them to use some random drug you mashed together. not to say that drugs wouldn't also be a good money-maker, but you have to put quite a bit of effort into it to make it really lucrative, getting tons of people addicted. if that work was already done for you, then it would be a lot more reasonable

You should really play Fallout 2.

You should really play Fallout 2.
But Fallout 2 doesn't have an FPS mode.

You should really play Fallout 2.
I don't understand how that would help. you can just tell me whatever it is you want me to find out by playing it
