I haven't been able to play Fallout 4 in forever because part of my keyboard won't work. : (
New DLC looks kool.

just reminding everyone that survival bad

Working on an engine you never worked on before isn't exactly easy. Modifying it is even harder.
Bethesda had to modify the gamebryo engine to make the Creation engine, and had to modify that between games.
I think that's more effort than what Obsidian did but, ultimately, i don't see why it matters.

Except Bethesda gives themselves 4+ years to do it with plenty of long ass breaks/vacations in between.

Obsidian had less than 1.5 years of hell no breaks.

Also not taking into consideration pre-production or post-production (certification takes a long time) time. Actual development time was probably 6 - 9 months tops.

It's the exactly same thing that happened with KotORII. loving LucasArts.

Calling it "hell" seems like an exaggeration to me.
Also, a lower development time seems somewhat reasonable to me, since New Vegas re-used a lot of assets and, as far as i'm aware, didn't need to modify the Creation Engine as much compared to between Fallout 3 and 4.

Obsidian had to lay off their own employees and cancel a project because Bethesda wouldn't give them a bonus.

They were under a stuff ton of stress with bethesda breathing down their back in general.

i wish a few of those things were in non-survival
but that sounds awesome

Survival mode changes confirmed by Bethesda.

So do i.
I hope there's an option to select which features you want enabled.
Some of these sound great, but others really don't.
Also, how're you supposed to get aboard the prydwen without fast travel?

There is a vertibird on a helipad in the airport that takes you up

That said, how will the Institute work?
You gain the ability to teleport there via fast travel from anywhere, and then fast travel back out to anywhere.

So, will I be able to circumvent the lack of fast-travel by simply going to the Institute first, and then to wherever I want?
Or will they make it so I can only teleport from the Institute to where I teleported in from?
Or perhaps only teleport to the CIT ruins?
Or only the place where I build the teleporter?
