Well the possibilities are that you have been frozen for 200 years, you were injured in the blast and were put into stasis and forgotten, you died and the vault made an android version of you, you are clone, everyone died in stasis but you.

Also not a fan of family NPCs. For example in FO3 you only see dad in the intro for like 5 minutes then he bails. I need to have some sort of longevity to care about someone.

Also that Android idea doesn't seem too far fetched since I saw an anime under the same premise.

Your fathers "sacrifice" is the most bullstuff thing ive ever seen in a video game. By the time I get to that point in Fallout 3, im already armed to the teeth. I could take out every last Enclave soldier single handly and not even have to use a stimpack. Seriously the lamest attempt at trying to evoke sadness ive ever seen put into a game.

yeah i hated Enclave Soldiers in 3 just because they have the type of power armor that sends their damage resistance to the loving stars. i just use a Missile Launcher because i don't want to waste ammunition or weapon condition fending off the bastards.

I had an energy weapons skill of about 78 and I used a plasma rifle and they knocked over in 2-3 shots....

I put like 5 mines on a doorway for a deathclaw but when it showed up dogmeat ran into the mines as the deathclaw hit them. they both died

I honestly hadn't thought of the PC being an android

Maybe that's one of the big twists in the story, or perhaps in the spirit of adding features based on mods for previous games they're adding a variety of body implants like Project Nevada had and using you being an android to explain it

Was the institute making androids before the war?
