Guys, real talk right now. Should i cancel my preorder for the pipboy edition? pipboy looks flimsy as forget and doesn't seem to fit people with flimsy girl arms. (me)

I also have been considering the price and it doesn't seem like the expense is worth it. It seriously looks like a mcdonalds toy.
Cancel and get the game + season pass if you want.

cancelled preorder in favor of season pass and base game.

also make a new poll pls, Energy Weapons or Ballistic?

You mean projectile versus smashing everything with your fists.

I canceled it, you'll feel a little regret watching people unbox them, but otherwise I'm fine. Get the Anthology mininuke if you really want shelf decoration. :P

I'll set something new up in a bit. How about a new poll every day before launch?

If you're up for it!

Some suggestions;
 - Good Karma, Neutral Karma, Bad Karma
 - Companions or Lone Wolf
 - Lucky, Unlucky, Medium Luck
 - Default character or custom character
 - Light armor, Medium armor, Heavy armor

who the forget would be default lol that's so boring

I'll start with the combat today and I'll try to stay on it. I am sorta curious as to how others are going to approach their first playthrough.

I use whatever I have lots of ammo for, but I have a prefernce for energy weapons.

I'm gonna be a loving saiyan princess and beat the stuff out of everything

I like me some old fashion BOOLETS

I personally wouldn't, but apparently some people like to, because it's the face that the game devs designed for the character.

But really, it's just a plain generic face.

I'm going energy weapons as much as possible, I think.
Hopefully you're able to get to using them fairly quickly, compared to New Vegas, where there's that laser pistol at the beginning, but then all your enemies will forever be using shotguns and rifles.

So yeah, hopefully you can get ahold of an energy weapon, and then ammunition isn't too sparse for it.
I'm hoping that thematically it shouldn't be, given the advanced nature of the Commonwealth.

I'm thinking I was a nicely customized assault rifle

My first character: Michael Cera
S: 1
P: 10
E: 9
C: 2
I: 6
A: 10
L: 2

if melee is actually fun, then i'd give that a try. it was useless in F3 and NV so i'd be interested to see just how well it works to play through the game with a lead pipe instead of a gun

I think one mod i'd love for the game right off the bat would be a different effect for incineration by energy weapons. Like instead of ash it leaves behind a skeleton instead.  :cookieMonster:

melee was OP in f3 and NV with the right weapons.

I liked Fallout 3's pacing better where energy weapons were medium to high tier and you wouldn't even get a laser pistol until a few hours in.
