The Castle armory has been locked for years and I open the door to find this forgeter just casually tinkering with his armor on the other side like he crawled in through a window or some stuff

I always hated the karma system. It felt so useless to me.

I never cared for it either, it never affected anything I wanted to do because I don't really want the company of the starfish followers that required bad karma

I think it is pretty important since it's been a key element in other games. For example certain followers had a certain code of conduct for example some followers refuse to work with other Flash Mobing starfishs and child killers, others refuse or try to kill you if you joined a certain faction. In other cases being an starfish got bounty hunters sent after you, pissing off the wrong faction sends hit men after you. Basically it ties into choice and consequence.

Damn dude. Can you tell me how your days have gone since the release? Like was it just wake up, play, maybe eat, play some more, and sleep?

I'm not going to deny that it is important for the games. I just felt like when I played, I ignored the karma because I never use followers so I didn't care what they thought about my actions and if people were sent after me I would just kill them and move along.

Cheeki Breeki

Daily reminder that a vault dweller wouldn't even last a minute in the zone.

Basically eat when I'm hungry and sleep when I'm tired, kinda loosing track of time.

there's no karma system :(

Awesome. I hated it when "stealing" items from a dead Raider/enemy would cause people in the wasteland to think I'm the loving anti-christ.

Do they have the reputation system from FNV though?

I've finally played over 24 hours.

I should start actually doing the main quest.

The current system is better. Companions react to what you do (and I think only when they are present?).
This means your good-guy companion is going to be pissed off if you gun down settlers, but he's not going to refuse to join you because you were off alone, unseen, and happened to steal some crops.

The fact that you can get negative karma for doing actions no one saw is stupid and not immersive.
How would people know I am evil if no one witnessed my evil deeds?

And then there were petty acts that earnt/lost you karma needlessly.
Like killing ghouls in NV got you karma. Why would anyone care when I was just protecting myself?

The french teacher robot is my waifu.

I've been playing as much as I can but I've got a bunch of school and work and schoolwork :(
