I have to say some of the best character voice lines are from pacifying non-human enemies
Can you list some of them? I don't plan on ever pacifying enemies, so I doubt I would ever hear them.

Anyone know what actually happens when a legendary enemy mutates, besides their health refilling?

The legendary item they have doesn't change (I pacified a legendary, picked its pocket to see its item, backed out, aggro'd it, fought it until it mutated, killed it, checked its inventory, and it had the exact same item).

So is it just to make legendaries tougher?
I can't confirm, but I suspect they have higher armour after mutating, so take longer to kill.
They often gain a yellow smokey emitter around them too.
Do they possibly give more XP after mutating??

It would be nice to know if it is better to kill them quick, before they mutate, or to let them mutate before killing.

It's more the way the character says it, it's a big contrast from trying to pacify people because those always come out sounding like "yeah whatever, stop shooting me you starfish", but when you try pacifying a creature your character sounds like they're totally unconvinced it's actually going to work

Most of the lines sound like the VA was shown a picture of the enemy they were pacifying without any prior knowledge of the Fallout universe when recording the lines, so you get things like "N-nice giant scorpion..." and "Whooaa, crabby!", as well as some silly, vague names for things like Bloatflies and Bloodbugs that I can't remember off the top of my head

It's great

I like "Human friend!" when trying to pacify Super Mutants.

ocdecorator best mod, although the institute cups i took are placed halfway inside the counter

I disabled it because it's too tedious right now and not enough options.

Can anyone confirm if there is any immortal Brotherhood members. I want to wipe out their entire organization but if some of them are immortal then there is no point.

Proctor Ingram, Proctor Teagan, and Senior Scribe Neriah are essential.
All three are located inside the main deck of the Prydwen.

Also, the children are essential too, obviously.

That's annoying. You figure after how Obsidian set how NPCs should be treated they would be forced to follow the example.

At least there is so far less NPCs than Skyrim's 100+ immortal NPCs.

What? That's not true. I've killed all three of them. Only the children are essential.

Going into the Glowing Sea for the first time on this character, as part of the main storyline.
Quick travel to closest location, on the other side of the river.
Am wearing power armour for the mission, upgraded as much as my abilities allow, for radiation resistance, and to survive Deathclaws and Scorpions.

Wander down the road to the nearest bridge (which was an open drawbridge, so couldn't cross it anyway), as I don't have Aquagirl ability.
Approach a building with super mutants, while on the road. They attack.
Hanrooster gets forgeted over instantly, Super Mutants are giving me a beating.
Wander backwards, as Hounds, Skirmishers and a Self Deleter chase me.
Nearly have the Self Deleter down, when I have to reload. He explodes.
Left leg destroyed, and left arm damaged.

Finish off the other super mutants on the ground.
One still left on top of building with laser rifle.
Shoots wildly at me, while I line up some sniper shots.
Car next to me catches fire, from his shots, and then explodes almost instantly.
Lose second leg.

Restart to before quick travel.
My most humiliating non-fatal defeat yet.

The wiki says they are essential.
And I'm certain at the very least I couldn't kill Ingram when forced to.

Maybe it has to do with your point in the storyline? I hadn't finished at the time.

I was fighting a legendary super mutant and I was checking how much health my sniper shots were taking off. After it mutated, the sniper shots were taking off pretty much the same amount of health. So if legendary's armour does increase, I don't think it's a substantial amount.

I haven't finished much of the main story
When Teagan caught me stealing, he shot at me. When I shot back, it cancelled all of my Brotherhood missions. He fell down at first like an essential character but I was able to kill him.
