connect the wires to one another
Yeah I know. I connect a generator to a conduit then try to connect that conduit to another conduit and it doesn't let me.

and you're sure nothing else is in the way? it's always worked perfectly fine for me

I actually just figured out the problem. You can't have tcl on while connecting them. I'm so used using tcl while I'm building I didn't even think to try turning it off.

tcl?

how the forget do i put lights on wires, i've seen some pictures about it but i can't seem to do it.

You actually can connect wires while in TCL, you just need to press space on a connector (so the wire is in front of you and can be moved) and then enable TCL. You can select and connect as many as you wish, as long as you don't spawn and I think also delete any objects. If you do, you have to redo the process again. Something I learned while building a skyscraper.

I noticed something weird the other day
I wanted the synth helmet, but the guy wasn't selling it, then I saw a synth in the institute wearing it. and I wanted it, so I quicksaved, and attacked him. but he didn't turn hostile until I got him down to like 25% health,  neither did anyone else. SO. I laid down a couple of frag mines in front of him on his path, and when he walked over them, I shot the mines. and it killed him. but nobody else turned hostile? so, idk what that was all about, but I got a free helmet

what, using the projector screen as a wall?

what, using the projector screen as a wall?
I think he means the foundation blocks. I'm not certain though, either one is a good idea.

make sure to put your power suit(s) in an area you have to jump to otherwise the settlers might get in
one of them got in my only suit at the time and some weird ass bug happened where the power suit turned invisible and i couldn't get him out of it

Well yeah I mean you kind of have to use foundation blocks for any structure unless you find a ridiculously flat area of land with no rocks or debris.

My power suit has been sitting right outside the diner at the drive in while I work on the settlement. I was nervous at first because I didn't know if the settlers would take it or not, but noone has touched it in the 3+ hours of gameplay time it's been there.

projector as a wall, its perfect

I was thinking of using the screen as a wall as well but I saw how awfully sloped the terrain was next to it and ditched the idea, completely forgot about foundation blocks
