To be fair, transgendered people aren't really concerned with chromosomes. They identify with norms, appearance, and behavior of the gender they weren't born as.

You point at only one cause for the increased number of Self Deletes for a transgender youth. There are too many other factors that make a transgenders' life less than desirable to point your finger at only one cause.
no, I'm pointing at a lot of causes, but pretty much all of them are the fault of people like you

Yeah ok just leave out all the negatives of being transgender, like working for years and saving up just to get surgery, like the hormones they are taking making them feel depressed, like after surgery, struggling to be happy with the end result because they're not as pretty as their other female friends.

Seriously if you're not going to look at the whole picture dont loving bother responding.

Also transgenders are the unhappiest of all LGBTQ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_youth#Self Delete

oh my god lol my (extremely religious) dad used this exact argument last weekend when he was trying to convince me how "evil" the LGBT community was

"hey if gays are so great, how come they're always so depressed and lots of people attack them all the time?"

I never said they were evil, I just said they were unhappy which is why I believe transgenderism doesnt work

I never said they were evil, I just said they were unhappy which is why I believe transgenderism doesnt work
They are unhappy because people are starfishs, if we could accept not everyone is the same they would be happy.

yeah i know, i was talking about my dad, not you

I've said this 100 times already, there are many other reasons why they are unhappy.

Your emphasis on surgery kind of shows a common misconception about transgendered people. Not everyone who identifies as another gender pursues surgery, due to factors that you've already identified like cost, recovery time, personal choice, etc. I couldn't find the exact figures for how many do pursue surgery, but I've heard that love-reassignment surgery is kind of a touchy subject in those circles when people overemphasize it. That tells me that there's at least a large portion that don't choose that path.

like working for years and saving up just to get surgery
insurance should cover it, and when it doesn't, it's definitely not because of transgender people themselves
like the hormones they are taking making them feel depressed
I don't see anything saying that HRT gives people depression
like after surgery, struggling to be happy with the end result because they're not as pretty as their other female friends.
sometimes physical appearance issues will be there no matter what
but generally it's still people like you, setting expectations for what a girl or a boy is "supposed to" look like

If they don't have surgery they will still be dysphoric with their own body though? If i wanted to be female I would not be happy identifying as female with a snake.

insurance should cover it
Insurance only covers health issues not body mods, I don't see why any insurance would cover it.

Search for "depression" BUT also take note of the bombardment of other side effects there are.

let us all just agree that general is gay.
