competitive melee is insane and honestly something thats making me want to play pm more than melee is that the community is always go big or go home, if youre stuff, youre treated like stuff. If youre god like, youre treated like a god. Thats just how it is and its loving stupid

although zero (i think) doesn't play melee, i never see anything about more then 4 - 6 people from the big melee tournaments

The Melee community is cancerous. It's very observant in most situations in where you'd have to deal with the players (see: anthers ladders, Twitch chats of OTHER smash games, reddit, etc) it's ridiculous. I fully respect the game as well as the general competitive community around it, but I'd never want to get into Melee, I'd be far more likely to get into ANY other Smash game if only to avoid the elitist community.

I've never encountered behavior like this except maybe on anther's, which I admit is very toxic (but in my experience PM anther's is just as toxic)
