Wow this is pretty disgusting, especially to go into a house of worship like this. Wouldn't this be considered to be terrorism?

the shooter was motivated by race and was a white supremicist, so no it doesn't count as terrorism but it is Flash Mob.

because people saying "we should stop talking about everything!" are funny. it's like a kid who thinks that plugging his ears and closing his eyes will make the problem go away.

Just because problems exist doesn't mean we can't wish, or recommend, that they would end.

you could make a case that he did it to intimidate black people and their society

And telling media to shutdown will solve that?

btw its charleston, south carolina

The media doesn't give a stuff about us, it's all about generating stories for clicks. More clicks = more ad revenue and more ad revenue is profit. That's what sensationalism is, you sacrifice accuracy for public interest and excitement.

Look at all the mass killers in history since columbine. History remembers those people as monsters who killed a bunch of people and then took their own life. They were almost all social outcasts and or mentally unstable. When they watch the news and see police sirens and news of these guys killing a bunch of people, they want to copy that.

forget the media seriously

remember when they were giving CIA 24/7 coverage and airing their propaganda, that's probably why CIA got a huge amount of foreign recruits, if they just didn't sensationalize this stuff, it would stop happening as frequently.

I didn't realize the media was a single, monolithic entity hell bent on misleading the American public.

It's funny because the youtube video that was posted here and that practically everybody here agrees with actually came from a news program.

That's weird because I have never seen a news story that is in any way positive about CIA. Like, do you actually know anything about CIA recruitment or the media.

Back in 2014 they would sensationalize CIA by showing parts of their propaganda and stuff. And Fox News even aired the burning of the Jordanian pilot. And they make a mass shooting the main coverage for an entire week, and then they follow up on it for like a month, along with the aftermath and controversies.

They're not positive about CIA, they just used to cover them so much, and they were the main headline like every day

did you watch the video that joe shared?

and I've said similar statements in numerous threads before that link was posted. You know why fox is popular with the right wing? Because they say things that appeals to that wing.

Want to hear about how prayer needs to come back, how Obama is foreigner coming to take your guns, and how we have to save Israel? Fox. Want to hear how cops are tribal bastards, poor old Trayvon, and evil Israel? CNN/MSNBC. Want to hear about how the west is run by national socialists and how the world wants to destroy Russia? RT. These media corporations take something and spin it to fit they way they want to tell to their audience, then send it to the desired audience.

Yes this is probably an over used image

but think how easy it is to tell a story by manipulating the camera and adding or omitting details. Here we have a prisoner of war, he's getting water from a soldier while what looks like a medic treats him and some dude with a rifle stands by. To left we have a story about a prisoner of war being held a gun point while to the right we have a story about how a single American soldier gave a poor thirsty Iraqi some water from his canteen.

Is that 35 year old freek what the forget
yes it is me

That's a great point. Here's a solution. Thinking about what they say, looking at different sources, and making up your own opinion from what you think is reasonable from each source is the solution. I have no pity or sympathy for people who only look at one news source and decide that it's correct.
