Link. Just terrible. We need to increase the punishment for drunk drivers in America.

Outlaw motorized vehicles

Let's make an amendment making alchohol illegal. Oh wait we already did that and after a temper tantrum negated it with another amendment.

Alchohol is seriously worse than cigarettes and yet we can't advertise cigs.

Harsher laws aren't going to keep people from making bad decisions. We already fear monger the stuff out of drunk driving, which is a real danger mind you, so what else can we do?

A temper tantrum is the reason it was made illegal in the first place lol. All it did was give raise to criminal empires who still exist to this day.

We need a way for people to lock their keys in lockers or something before they get drunk so handicaps like this dumbass won't kill people with their car.

Prohibition didn't work. People still got alcohol, only that because it was illegal they had to go through criminals to get it. If you illegalized it again, the same thing would happen. It wouldn't matter.

To use drugs as an example, you only need to look at the Rec. Drugs thread to see how well that's doing to keep drugs out of people's hands.

Even cigarettes won't be made illegal, because the moment it is, there's a black market for it.
And then when there's a black market there's no regulations at all. It's at that point that you start to get dangerous knock-offs of the products appearing.

So we should just give up?

We need to get people in government who aren't the parents that give kids what they want when they stomp their feet

I don't know how it is in the UK, but in certain parts of the US there is a black market for cigarettes because of over-taxation. Like when I was in the middle of nowhere I saw packs of cigs at a gas station for like $3. Back in NY they easily cost $10+ a pack and it was mind blowing seeing the price difference.

the kind where children go to parades? i don't understand what you're getting at.

Yes. It's clearly evident that making drugs and alcohol illegal does nothing to stop them from being sold and consumed. It only makes getting them more dangerous. Restating the same refuted point doesn't make you any more correct. Try again, but this time put some effort in.

and what the forget does that last part even mean? A government shouldn't give it's citizens what they want? Do you even understand the concept of protests, or forget, voting?

I have never heard of someone smoking cigs and then getting in a car accident killing others because of the cig, have you?
