i have no idea what that means since im not a person that knows what cryptography is but gimme anyways

basically people can send you stuff that only you can decode, and you can "sign" stuff to verify that a message actually does come from you and not someone else

anyway I don't know if I really like it. the desktop app is flaky, and with my internet, connecting to the site every time to decrypt or encrypt gets old fast.......
seems mostly pointless as well, when you could just have a link to your public key on all your profiles

Yeah kinda this. The only reason I kinda like keybase is because now I have a bunch keys from people who before hadn't posted their keys anywhere.
