The speech was motivating to many anti-war citizens, even including some socialists and conservatives along with the target liberals. Loyalty roll 20 to 40: 36. Not bad, especially considering the low cost ($100 for speaking rights, $50 for flyers). You are now at 41 loyalty, an official of the Liberal Party, and $19,850, although you are still only local and even with 50 loyalty, earning MP may be fairly difficult.

A decent speech (it would have been nice to have direct text rather than third-person "touches on..."). Loyalty roll 10 to 20: 15, which puts you at a clean 20 loyalty, enough to be an official. However, not many came to the speech. $100 deducted for speaking costs.

mostly just the war and all of its side effects (islamophobia, foreign policy)
however some of the population fears corporations are too powerful and running the government
there's of course still culture wars between the liberals, socialists, and greens vs the conservatives and populists
abortion, gun control, climate change, healthcare and immigration are still hot-button topics but have partially taken a back seat to the Syrian War, especially with some of the liberalization that came with the Anglosphere
