I like how we in the UK have been complaining about this for years while the EU gives us the shaft because it's part of our obligation as a member of the EU to let in pretty much every migrant, asylum seeker, refugee, etc. who knocks on our door, but the moment they have to deal with it for once it's suddenly a major issue that mandates major reform in the EU constitution or whatever.
While I certainly feel for those in the EU who have been affected by what's going on (especially those in Germany who got caught up in the New Year's molestations) I can't help but feel some degree of satisfaction that the majority of Europe (especially it's administration) is getting to feel the problems that have been imposed on us for years simply because we're the only country stupid enough to give welfare to every Tom, richard and Harry who comes along; the only country stupid enough to give incentive for mass migration that's worth the trouble. The problems of being almost forced to let people into our country with little to no idea of what kinds of people they are simply because it's our humanitarian obligation as a member of the EU or whatever the forget and, similarly, the problems of being largely unable to simply deport a lot of these people when they commit criminal acts in our country.
Honestly, I don't even care if most of what I've said is a load of old horsestuff and at this point I barely even care if it makes me sound xenophobic or tribal. This is just my opinion as it has been shaped by what I've read, seen and heard in my life as a resident of the UK, so I guess you should probably take it with a small fistful of salt if it matters to you that much.
