main reason is to create NPCs without occupying bot 'space'. (100 bots max in a server)
so no NPCs cannot be bots from bot holes
does this 100 max bots value affect active bots or planted holes? if the former, try using zones to spawn bots depending on the situation, or have bots spawn when the player is at a specific distance from the hole.

it affects active bots (which is good)

and yes, i have incorperated magistics similar to that event
(enemy bots of a level only spawn once you enter that level, and they despawn if they die or after a time limit)

the problem being is that, since it's a lobby, (where i would want npcs) there will usually always be players there, so the bots will always be active, occupying precious bot space

but there's only regular dragon playertypes
I'm almost certain that this won't happen, but I'd considered waiting until Jervan released his pet dragon, then implementing it as the boss of the dungeon. Y'know, if I'd ever actually gotten around to doing this.

It even sorta looks like the dragons from TTYD.

keep in mind though that i'm limited by my weapon packs and playertypes
it's possible to do 'fat' bots or 'skinny' bots though so that's not really a problem

it probably won't be coherently testable until very late in development
mainly because the shop system, npcs, and enemy bots have to be added

Day 3

7/100 Pit levels constructed
shop system being worked on
fixed extremely exploitable bug that could allow users to spawn and despawn enemy bots in any level (scared me a lot when i discovered it, ahh)


here, have an image of the exterior

those rooms are all levels, quadruple-duplicated so a level is always available

 or some other method...

And finally: what is the max ever amount of lights you can have on a server? (on bricks)

What I usually do for a shop is have the item displayed in a transparent box, then have two bricks next to it:
A ? describing it, and
A ! to buy it (with a confirm y/n box usually)

Also p sure that when you create a custom server you set in the advanced options max lights and emitters n stuff

I'd be happy to help with any of the development, too.

i was a little worried about the lighting limits until i discovered that you can set a max value of a limit of 5000
so, phew


the problem with help is that there's not much to do build-wise, since it's mostly the tedious duplication and connecting of pit levels, which will become more complicated to do later on

i mostly need necessary add-ons, enemies, and a whole bunch of stuff that can't be done until those first things are done first.
(maybe i should make a request topic in modification help...)

build-wise though i'm open to suggestions (pit levels, lobby, shops, etc)

i like the build. it's super basic and blocky but for stylistic reasons rather than building capabilities. (also it's easier to fight in open spaces)
