I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

Wienza elects to construct a caravan and roads to get fresh water from the river in the South, dubbed the Danst River, to the population in the north, starting with Venfurt. The decreased cost of water could encourage population expansion in the future, as currently the population is stagnating due to limited supplies.

SWAT 1, in case you didn't notice, I edited an earlier post to moderate Arconian expansion.

Conservatia finishes their commissioned ships, and assigns them to their naval forces.

With the manpower in each fleet being so damn high, excess men are re-assigned to shipyards in Carnovon and Yorik to complete 30 new ships. This will be one of the biggest projects in history of all the dockyards.

(i plan for 15 to be heavy frigates (44 gun) and 15 to be normal frigates (28 gun))

At Avalonia's national convention, a constitution is drafted and ratified guaranteeing a hierarchical system of local governance whereby certain rights are universally granted to townships, provinces, and finally the central government.  Most parties are reasonably pleased with the constitution and its ratification passes overwhelmingly.  Provisions in the constitution also guarantee individual freedoms such as freedom of speech, assembly, religion, gun ownership, etc.

It is also resolved to seek closer ties with neighboring lands, and so delegations are sent to Arcon and Wienza to pursue mutual embassies and foster regional cooperation, particularly through economic ties.

The local militia system of protection is adjusted to be more uniform.  As opposed to the slipshod militias of the past, every township is now to require every male between the ages of twenty and forty to participate in monthly militia drills, officers are to be elected by the troops (and appointed by merit in future) and report to a provincial supervisory officer who in turn reports to the National Allgemein who reports to Parliament.  Provisions to arm the militias by the central government will be made as new funding becomes available.

President Vjornsberg announces that he will personally be visiting each provincial capitol "to better survey and become acquainted with the needs and wants, the trials and joys, the lives, of the people who have chosen me to represent them."  This is to be done on his own funds, and he has indicated his intention to fund the construction of some small token of his visit at each major stop in his tour, likely in the form of things such as the improvement of government buildings.

Ah yes, the new year. The people of Izlandia had a dang good Aegimas, which is, of course, the holiday celebrating Aigia's birthday.
The people of Izlandia continue to tend to their flocks and their fields on the farm country and at the harbor the dock workers are hard at work getting goods on and off boats.
Truly, life could not be better for our small island.

The mining operations on the island have been canceled, as the king states "Aegia would not condone of us tearing up his land".
Meanwhile, on the coast of the mainland in the Terrritories Claimed in Aegia's Name (or TCAN), the king has no problem tearing that up, so mining operations commence.

with it's army complete, scotia constructs various outposts around its borders and inside cities, barracks are built

in the rural areas, farms are being worked more

I be offering trade to all coastal nations of the world.
Scotia accepts

No, my original plan was to ally with Romek - you can ask Jun. To that end, I closed my ports to the only trader in the region at that time, in Romek-style mass embargo. In response, you blockaded my only source of water trade or movement at all, which was still necessary. So, in a panic, I contacted several people, including Plethora, Vlast, Washk and of course Seris (you may ask them as well) - only Seris and Washk responded in time, Seris first. We broke the blockade and nonsense taxation, but your colonization south and my realization of my predicament meant that I realized the only way I could secure future trade would be land on the west side of the river.

You, unsurprisingly, did not accept my original terms, which were a gauge to see what exactly I could get. Your refusal to even negotiate further terms, rather than take it as an all-or-nothing ultimatum, was the cause of your current situation.

As the year progresses, border forts are built along the Conservatian-Scotian border. Efforts to expand eastwards are made, in attempts to assume complete control of the lake. With the settlers travels a line infantry regiment and a light cavalry regiment to ensure safety from the savage natives. If they begin to cause trouble, enslavement them sounds like a good alternative for them.

Vlast's only role was to pursue a diplomatic end to the war.

Now that I am on my computer I will be updating Vlast's statistics.

Arcon accepts Avalonia's offer, and sends a delegation over right away.

Arcon wishes to also create an embassy in Wienza.

Trade offers are offered to Izlandia, Anglond and Washk.

The Arconian government is getting upset at the Sonodite silence.  Boats pass through as usual since they seem to not care.

An official that represents the King is sent to a Sonodite official (probably in the city or town around the area). A band of 50 soldiers outside of Sonodite city lines prepare to make their way back to Frisia on camel back in the case of any news.

Angland accepts, and sends a merchant delegation to find any interesting wares - they possess seeds of both staple crops and grains, and fine Anglish watches, among other produced items.

Seris wants to obtain a license for manufacturing Washkian rocket munitions.

The Anglish delegation is received by an intermediate level trade commissioner.  He leads them on a tour around major trading centers, showing them the products of the Arconian economy:
Wheat, oats and rice for staples; fruits and nuts; and bolts of cotton fabric.
The commissioner also takes them to a corner coffee house on a roasting day.  The roaster roasts coffee beans just nearby, and the delegation is treated to coffee.  "These coffee beans were grown right here in Arcon.  The crop shows much promise."
