I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

The second definition of inflation makes even less sense in this context. Why is the cost of goods and services going up? If the loan would affect Romekate gold stocks at all, it would mean the value of the currency goes up, not down, which is deflation, because there is less overall gold in the market.

But since the Romekate government via Romekate producers were tied to the Anglond-based EFCC, the gold would accumulate credit.  Although Romekate was not asking for the gold or any kind of payment back yet, Romekate miners and investors would expect a return (Investors wouldn't accept this solely on ideas of fealty).  Since the EFCC kept its prices low, but still used up this and more funds to make more acquisitions, the loan was building up bad credit.  Now that Saccren no longer exists, this credit bubble would be significantly smaller, as it now only includes Anglish liabilities since Saccren is gone.

Prices in Anglond have increased because Anglond's domestic market would have to moderate prices in order to ensure a good profit amidst rising Anglish taxes and tariffs against Saccrenian goods (via the EFCC).  Merchants and middlemen would be more likely to support domestic markets since the EFCC's frugal nature would result in paying its traders poorly.  Anglish producers would come to despise the EFCC, which is becoming a fierce competitor.

Romekate does not have a considerable inflation problem.  It's primarily Anglond now, and even still, it's not substantial at this point.

Hold up, how is Romekate industry tied to Anglond? Why would the loan to Anglond not be payed out of the Romekate government budget? The only scenario I can think of in which Romekate producers expect anything is if the government took a loan from them so they could loan to Anglond, which would be exceedingly stupid.

Romekate's economy is marked as "Guided Market."  I didn't see anything about nationalizing the gold market, so...

Is gold currency not the property of the state?

Are gold coins not the property of the state?
Romekate said that gold was lent, not minted coins of any material.  Unless I have insufficient information.

I would assume that if he is using gold coins as currency and says he lends gold he means the coined variety, not a physical portion of mined gold.

But if it's about a surplus, wouldn't it make more sense if it's production than the actual currency?

Rumors about a resurgence of Borchism or old Norse fill Anglond, particularly in Alberton.

by surplus i meant the opposite of deficit

because there is a method of taxation in this realm

Perhaps it's not my place, but being a veteran around here, I'm just going to weigh in a little bit.

Completely annihilating nations from the continuum is not par for the course.  The precedent from so many rps past has been a sort of rapid decentralization of the nation and its institutions into unclaimed land.  To simply void an entire nation that's been around as long as Saccren has no precedent that I can recall.  If it were like Neventii's nation and it never did anything with anyone there might be valid reason to completely erase it from history, but to take a nation that interacted with others out of the continuum seems unprecedented in itself and sets a dangerous precedent.  What if if were Romekate and Kyrev that were voided?  Would Conservatia's military stars go back up?  Would Sungyong return?  Better to stick to an unalterable past and deal only in the present and future, excepting necessary voiding like laser weapons in 1850 or something.

Swat3, behave yourself.  Insulting or harping on or arguing publicly with the moderator won't improve his ability to moderate.  SWAT rightly cited NaW as a failure to maintain a clear line between moderation and in game action, and now I'll cite it as an rp where I felt driven to that by a public that, I then felt, criticized my every move.  Stop adding fuel to the fire, and the other side will too.  Moderators have the authority, so it's up to players to make the first move and humble themselves.  Be a bigger man.

Avalonian investment and trade continue to increase as a slow-moderate pace, and Avalonian industry begins to increase production to match increasing consumer demand.

Cleanup of eruption related damage begins to wrap up in Avalonia, and a number of Avalonian firms are using their steam shovels and personnel to aid cleanup work in the JAZ, Arcon, and Wienza at slightly profitable rates, charging enough to make it worth their while without fleecing their neighbors.

Manfred Hall becomes the Chancellor of the ANA following elections during which Kurt Walter retired.  His success is largely attributable to the importance of the economy to Avalonian voters.  He is keeping the other major contender and current representative, Karl Schmidt, close at hand though, as he is still very popular with a significant portion of voters, has similar views on most policy matters, and the general goodwill between the two which blossomed into a friendship following the election.

Unused economic, scientific and industrial resources are placed towards addressing the rapidly approaching food crCIA. Several different plans begin to be drafted. Öln himself appears unsure of the solution; becoming entirely dependent on foreign trade is far too slippery of a slope.

These new plans have a generally common trend amongst them; gaining farmable land. Efforts to purchase Collineville continue while agricultural research becomes the dominant field in funding.

Generals and entrepeneurs alike suggest that entirely new land is acquired. While arid, the deserts of the northeast do promise some farmability for drier crops.

Öln approves of the generals' requests, but does not yet move northeast. Those lands are too far. For now.

A request is sent out. The best demolition men in the world are asked to migrate to New Romekate for a classified project. They will be paid very, very well. They are not being asked to move, only to stay while working on the project.

Arcon and New Romekate settle the "Collineville Deal" land acquisitions.

carefully continue northward expansion

begin to focus improvements from domestic/development (since they seem p ok now) onto military

Romekati land speculators discover oil in abundance 80 miles southwest of Shasta.  A stretch of land is claimed in speculation of a valuable resource.  After a week, Arcon makes a move to claim a stretch of land as well.  Prospectors move in to test drilling here.  As the news spreads, Georgian, Avalonian, Espovs and Fravian prospectors begin drilling under speculation and find oil reserves.
