Perhaps it's not my place, but being a veteran around here, I'm just going to weigh in a little bit.
Completely annihilating nations from the continuum is not par for the course. The precedent from so many rps past has been a sort of rapid decentralization of the nation and its institutions into unclaimed land. To simply void an entire nation that's been around as long as Saccren has no precedent that I can recall. If it were like Neventii's nation and it never did anything with anyone there might be valid reason to completely erase it from history, but to take a nation that interacted with others out of the continuum seems unprecedented in itself and sets a dangerous precedent. What if if were Romekate and Kyrev that were voided? Would Conservatia's military stars go back up? Would Sungyong return? Better to stick to an unalterable past and deal only in the present and future, excepting necessary voiding like laser weapons in 1850 or something.
Swat3, behave yourself. Insulting or harping on or arguing publicly with the moderator won't improve his ability to moderate. SWAT rightly cited NaW as a failure to maintain a clear line between moderation and in game action, and now I'll cite it as an rp where I felt driven to that by a public that, I then felt, criticized my every move. Stop adding fuel to the fire, and the other side will too. Moderators have the authority, so it's up to players to make the first move and humble themselves. Be a bigger man.
Avalonian investment and trade continue to increase as a slow-moderate pace, and Avalonian industry begins to increase production to match increasing consumer demand.
Cleanup of eruption related damage begins to wrap up in Avalonia, and a number of Avalonian firms are using their steam shovels and personnel to aid cleanup work in the JAZ, Arcon, and Wienza at slightly profitable rates, charging enough to make it worth their while without fleecing their neighbors.
Manfred Hall becomes the Chancellor of the ANA following elections during which Kurt Walter retired. His success is largely attributable to the importance of the economy to Avalonian voters. He is keeping the other major contender and current representative, Karl Schmidt, close at hand though, as he is still very popular with a significant portion of voters, has similar views on most policy matters, and the general goodwill between the two which blossomed into a friendship following the election.
