I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

This thread at first really looked like it could be a revival of the traditional nation rp, and while I wouldn't say it's quite reached that level, it has been a really good rp and attracted a lot of people, newer and older, and still has a whole lot of potential.  I say we start fresh on a new, bigger map with more coast and islands and rivers and everything, possibly one that can expand with time as empires grow and explore and all that (maybe even do Civ style fog of war and just match the maps up as overlaps occur).  Pass moderation onto a couple of able and willing people who can divide the burdens of moderation among themselves.

I agree with Plethora. I'm not sure about the Civ-style fog of war, seems like it would be tedious to update a map everytime a player goes exploring or expanding territory etc.

Yeah, you're probably right about that.  Just throwing out ideas, not all of them need to stick.

because modern weapons and the world wars are really fun

I personally believe we should leave moderators to NPC interaction and player interaction only; no countries for them.
