Defending the Nordic countries (Sweden in particular) is of no mutual benefit. They're loving themselves over right now because their economy is beginning to struggle on account of the growing numbers of unskilled workers and the lack of vacant unskilled jobs for those workers. The relative scarcity of qualified laborers will become an issue, and Sweden's ability to maintain their comparative advantage in automobile manufacturing and iron production remains to be determined.

Can you really be this unaware? The problem is the fact that when you allow a bunch of unskilled workers into your country when there's no increase in demand for them, you are actively hurting the working class by increasing the supply of unskilled laborers, especially ones that are willing to work for less than the current workforce. No one gives a stuff about people who are already educated because they don't have to worry about migrants being forced into the country en masse for that exact reason.

Why would you just assume there's going to be more businesses starting up because of the increase in immigrants

because that's basic supply and demand...?

the problem though is that as the economy grows you will still have an enormous surplus of unskilled labor which will depress wage growth, while skilled labor will become harder to come by which will result in a skill shortage and/or increased pay for the already well off

Forgot to respond to this but the reason people politicize hurricanes is because of the government response after Katrina. Tons of people are very wearing of the GOP after Bush screwed up the relief efforts back in 2005.

That's hardly an excuse
Between people stuffting on Annoying Orange for no discernable reason whatsoever and others stuffting on Texas because it's a red state and therefore "deserves" to get obliterated I have no idea why people expect anyone to take these internet liberals seriously

I just like to say the people saying "Texas is a red state so it deserves the hurricane" are being dumb (especially cuz Houston is a huge Democratic city). Only the deluded #Resistance twitter accounts do that stuff
If anybody's scrutinizing Annoying Orange it's because he hasn't really done anything besides tweet and do photo shoots of him "monitoring the situation"

What does that mean "hasn't really done anything"
Is he supposed to video tape himself making every single decision? We need to SEE him signing over resources to Texas? The federal gov't already provided the necessary relief, what more is he supposed to do? It just doesn't make any sense.
