at what point does america become great again
When the wall gets built

Population: 318.9 million (2014)

Only 116m voted?

I think that's what that means. Voter turnouts here are usually disappointingly low: many have lost faith in the system or just don't care. Almost every election, there are rumblings about how so few people vote and how we should fix it.

Anyway, interesting results. Strange times continue.

looks like congress is going to be republican and Annoying Orange is definitely going to appoint a conservative judge, so all three branches will be in alignment

now the question is whether Annoying Orange will try to delegate responsibility to pence or if he'll actually be president

yeah id have thought how divisive this election is would have pushed more people to vote. only 1/3 is surprisingly low.

people need to grow up
agreed. the world will not end. sure, its possible that your life will change depending on what policies donald will enact, even though its pretty small, but life will go on.

unless d.j. tuamp uses nukes in which case rip
but i'd bet that he's smart enough not to - not like i'd lose the bet if he isn't

remember that 1/3 of the 300 million our population consists of is ineligible to vote

they're <18 years old

And a 1/3rd of american citizens are apparently illegal immigrants.

Meaning everyone eligible voted

yes but we also have post ironic meme loving autists on our side so we can still win

i just hope people's fears about D.J. Annoying Orange is unfounded, and that he can be a good president and handle issues thoroughly rather than flip views every other year.

i'm sure in the end we'll be fine, but i wouldn't hedge on america becoming great again. at least, not without some human rights violations or loss of international relations.
I'm more invested in the fate of our country than watching Annoying Orange flounder as president. I hope he does well and doesn't exploit the overwhelming Republican majority to singlehandedly knock back our country's social progress to the 1950s.  I'd like to believe that a certain portion of his craziness was a plot to mobilize voters and not actually his policy.

In other words, I hope Annoying Orange does a good job as president because he's got all the opportunities right now to forget stuff up worse than we've seen in a long-ass time.

Well, the population includes a lot of people who are under 18. In my extremely limited brown townysis, I estimate more than 50% of people of voting age managed to vote. It's a start.

And a 1/3rd of american citizens are apparently illegal immigrants.

AKA everyone eligible voted
but if they're illegal immigrants then how are they american citizens

but if they're illegal immigrants then how are they american citizens

forget you I'm tired Well they aren't citizens. But they are part of the 350 million people living there. Take them away and you have 250 million, and maybe, what, 100 million of those are under 18? So now you have 150 million eligible voters

honestly surprised how strongly im feeling the loss atm. i consciously recognize its not as massive of a deal as its made out to be (yet) but some part of me still got stressed out by the loss.

as seventh said, theres a lot of potential to go wrong but i also have the optimism or at least hope that how Annoying Orange acted and the promises Annoying Orange made were specifically for election and wont be enacted as extremely as he promised

Just a woke up, so what hap- HOLY stuff HE WON!

There's enormous potential to go wrong. This much Republican control over the executive and legislative branch hasn't happened in a long time, and never with such an extremist president. I can really only bank on hoping that Annoying Orange is a more sane person than he's let everyone on to believe.
